People seem to forget that there were very few, if any slouches in the Super-Six Tournament that Ward won convincingly. And to be perfectly honest, I don't think GGG can even handle eight rounds with Carl Froch let alone A. Abraham.

I not saying the GGG isn't a good future prospect, but to compare him to the top Super Six Tournament players is sheer madness.

I'm with ya' on this one.

Lot of wishful thinking in this thread, but that's about it.

ward easily. Step 1 to beating a monster puncher is not getting hit clean. Ward will outbox him, not get tagged clean, frustrate and wear down GGG. A wide decision. GGG wins 2 rounds on his best day.

I agree, he is really good at fighting his way. I see him winning a comfortable decision.

Ward by UD, he's just in a different class than anybody in the sport. He'd smother GGG, hold his ground, and pick off GGG's shots. Ward is too good defensively to get hit by GGG's slow punches, he'll dance circles around him. Don't take my word for it, just listen to Golovkin himself.

Golovkin: "Andre Ward is too much for me"

Ward's amateur career is even more impressive than GGG's, that run at LHW for a Gold was amazing, he was fighting giants, could've easily made SMW or even MW.

He's been hit by punchers like Miranda, Abraham, Froch, Kessler, etc. and handled it with no problem. He got dropped but that was long ago before he was filled out. He's grown into his frame and can take punches better, he's a much better boxer as well with no close fights.

I want you to realize how inaccurate the bold is, I really really do. Ward commits to all of his punches, even with the littlest leverage he can find, he fully commits. It's not even that the bold is inaccurate, his style isn't even geared to pitty pat.
