There's only one fight that matter at 168 and that's Froch vs Degale! If Froch ducks that would be a major disappointment and out of character. I suppose on the one hand Degale can take it as a compliment that Froch doubts his chances against him?

He's not going to retire, so that leaves DeGale, Ward in Vegas or Dirrell in the UK if he's not going to vacate his title (which he says he refuses to do).

Andre Ward earned his stripes but don't ever hear a mention...I wonder why this might be and if the excuse would be promotional difficulties......Money talks.Carl must be careful, time might be cruel to him, as has it stands he isn't even the best in his own division to day, the record books will make that clear.Ward is the fight Carl should be shouting for it would fill the o2 if not bigger!!

Towards the end of 2012 Ward said in an an interview that he would consider coming to the UK to fight Froch and Eddie Hearn contacted him about doing so. Nothing came of it and Hearn never said why, just that it wasn't happening and they were moving on to other options.
Ward has only fought once in the last 2 years and doesn't seem to want to fight anybody anymore. No matter how loud Froch shouts, Andre clearly isn't coming to the Uk to fight him.

... Jr. should take that fight because he has good chances to win...
... I also don't think that Froch might be able to get whatever other bigger motivation after the Wembley fight against the ugly kid.

I agree but it would certainly help Froch's case were he to say that he would like to have another crack to secure his much talked of legacy.I don't think that Eddie ever saw this rematch as good sense for Carl......only a thought.
