I definitely think margarito's eye made a big difference. But for the rematch cotto was better prepared and so it's hard to say. Although it still looked like the first fight where tony lost all the early rounds while cotto faded towards the mid to late rounds.

Would have been really interesting if tony didn't have a busted eye.

yes Margarito beats Cotto with no eye problems Cotto was gassing at the end like he always does. Cotto at most is a 8 round fighter this is why I cant take a fighter seriously with stamina problem's to beat ATG fighters in any era Cotto just like Canelo ,Oscar just to name a few lack stamina

I can't believe they let Margarito fight. The guy was pretty much blind in one eye.

I watched it recently and my answer is simply, Cotto would have still won. He smothered Margarito's punches, he held and he pushed Margarito back.
