My thoughts precisely ^. It's been a good few years but I can relate to that. If I had to speculate it could be that Brook was taking a little too much advantage of the 'hospitality' without realising he was expected to pay for it. Or shit coulda just got a little crazy like it sometimes does after a long night. Who knows?
