Will this myth ever die? Everytime he has a fight coming up he claims he will go for the K.O and we all read about this apparently underrated power which simply does not exist.

He has scored about 3 knockdowns in 10 years with 2 TKOs. If anything what little power he does possess gets overrated.

Which is never, so your point is not only blatantly sycophantic, but wrong as well.

Floyd is not a puncher. He has tiny hands. What he has is sharp accurate shots. And knows how to sneak shot you when you least expect it. But at this stage he has enough pop to knock out pacquiao with a sharp jab. PAC chin is done.

The best KO of his career was a double cheap shot on a guy who was apologizing for a head butt... ATG puncher for sure

If he committed to the punch it would add considerable force! However as mentioned he will not add power nor will he work in combination very often because he fears his opponents "punching with him"! He has very good technique and could cause much more damage but he is weary of getting hit and hurt.
He has gotten away with doing little to nothing for years now and as the "Vegas Cash Cow" its allowed!
As far rating his power against the best welters in history he isn't even in the discussion, he would be KO'd by the greats because of his lack of power.
Mayweather is a "Cat Burglar" he doesn't sneak in but he sure sneaks out with the winnings and no one knows how or why! No one sees anything being done
and there's no damage occurring at all.
He's changed boxing into "tag your it" and some fans actually think its boxing!
Boxing is chess with "consequences" with Mayweather their are none!

He's been fighting bigger dudes for more than a decade. Of course he won't be knocking them out.
