I'm proud of Canelo Alvarez and Oscar De La Hoya for doing what's right, I hope they succeed in everything they want to do.

The face of boxing can't be known for getting undressed and schooled.
      That never happened to
      Manny
      Floyd
      Roy
      Tyson
      Lennox
      Leonard
      Ali

None ever got completely dominated like in their prime like canelo was vs Floyd....
There's a difference between being undressed, and being undressed by arguably the best boxer in the last 20-years.

It's not like Floyd stopped him, he just outboxed him.

And I still think Alvarez' better years were ahead of him going into the fight at 21-years old.

I agree, it's a blemish - but no one is going is pigeon hold him to one loss to the best boxer on the planet.

He's not the first, or the last guy to get white-washed by Floyd.

I can't see canelo not being the face unless! Broner goes on an insane run the next 2 years while also toning down the BS.

Outside shot to GGG if he were to beat ward and canelo.

With Pacman, Cotto, & Floyd on the way out Canelo @ 24 is highly likely going to be that guy...there's no way around that fact.

This will be interesting in a few ways: 1: This will force mayweather to compete for business and choose a formidable opponent, Pac Man 2: Not a smart move by Canelo, I understand he wants attention but once again is setting himself up for failure going up against mayweather again. 3: Julio Cesar Chavez Jr is also on HBO, so a new rivalry is born! 4: boxing is about to get exciting!

Don't see that happening, Canelo needs to work on his foot speed and stepping in with some of his punches.

It's not saying he'll be better, it's saying he'll be the new face of boxing. Who else? I wouldn't say I'm a Canelo fan but he definitely hasn't been fighting bums. He's 24 & fought the top 2 JMW's in his last 3 fights.......with Cotto on deck if he beats Clottey.
