Where are all the Lara tea bagees lol? Lara was supposed to "school" Canelo, but he ended running away from Canelo like a coward but wait that's "Ring Generalship" lol...

This Clottey fight is an easy fight for Canelo..everyone knows it's clearly a tune up for the Cotto fight rather than taking the riskier fight with the idiot, convict Kirkland who has a suspect chin but is dangerous...

well, Canelo is just NOT talented enough to be the face of a sport that he DOES NOT dominate. I like Canelo, he's good but not great, but Oscar and Canelo's ppl are making him think something that he's not. The kid became a jr mdl champ fighting a 140er in Hatton's brother, then got out classed even humliated by Floyd, got a very close win against Trout and imho a gift against Lara. Now, he's very popular with mexicans and he got the rt attitude by stepping in the ring and taking risks. But he's lucky he's getting Cotto at this stage of Cotto's career cause no way in hell he'll beat a prime Cotto. I think he's in a very tough fight w/ Cotto which I see a 50/50 fight, & not sure he can beat a Chavez Jr and very confidence he'll get ko'ed by GGG, where past faces of the sport just dominated opposition ala Ali, Jones Jr, Mayweather, Pacquiao, Leonard, Hagler, etc!!! don't see it!!!

So which top WW/JMW has fought tougher competition than Canelo the last 5 or 6 fights? He's fought the best in his division, that's more than a lot of fighters can say.

Canelos clean image? Didn't Canelo assault a featherweight over a girl a few years back? The face of boxing has always been and will always be an American! Not a Mexican that doesn't speak English! Canelo is the face of boxing in Mexico...

Canelo simply isn't that good though

His 'image' (if he has one) will only slip if and when he takes a few more losses

His recent string of opponents is pretty impressive. But out of all of them, he only had 1 decisive win against 'legit' competition, and that's against the very limited Angulo...

Trout and Lara 'wins' barely count considering he didn't really win those decisively - those decisions could have easily gone the other way. But he didn't lose those either.

If the face of boxing isn't the best, or anywhere near the best, then fair dos, maybe he will replace Mayweather (in the US)

Buying judges to win elite fighters wont help canelo too much for being the succesor of floyd. He is a fraud

With that logic, shouldn't a Mexican be fighting in Mexico?
With that logic shouldn't mayweather fight on MLK birthday and black history month?

Where did he "run"? Outta the ring? Why don't you tell your boy canelo to learn how to cut off a ring. Kirkland tko's canelo btw.

After Floyd's "game plan" in he Maidana rematch, I have zero interest seeing him fight anymore unless it's vs Pacquiao or Cotto. Anything else I'll pass on. I'm not even a Canelo fan but I would rather watch him from now on than Floyd.
