I don't like owning the whole thread, it's tiresome. But sometimes you gotta do, what you gotta do. It's like disciplining your kids.
**** I wouldn't care if it was Keith Thurman I am extremely excited to see what hiis future holds. It could be a special future.

canelo is a complete hype job. he hasn't beaten any good fighters impressively/convincingly. not ONE. he lost to trout and lara imo and he got completely schooled (12-1) against mayweather.

I'm glad he challenged himself. He earned the respect of the people. And that's what it takes. People arent tuning into his PPV to see him hopefully get KTFO.

        That's the difference.
He turned pro at 15 so in the 9 years since he's been boxing, he hasn't accomplished 2% of what Floyd has, and his biggest "wins" and loss look like someone was paid to make cards look like he's a better fighter than he is. Not much risk taking when all you have to do is make it to the end and a judge will give you the fight.

Honestly if people said the things you say they do, he wouldn't be on a tour of Russia having events set up for him where people wait for hrs for his coaching

He didn't fight Diaz until after the trilogy, my oint was he was still in his prime when Pac fought him.

Yea, and in boxing history there have been 23 year olds that have looked more dominant and impressive. Mayweather is one of them. Him being 23 is all well but at this point he's simply a good fighter.

People should be happy there seeing the fights they want, if you don't like him root against him whatever.

Instead of criticizing just sit back and enjoy him take on all the tough fights win, lose or draw. Even if he takes a loss at least he is challenging himself.
Its easier to take a tough fight when you can't lose except by KO. And to say you want to be great, and everyone is helping you win is a joke. As ugly as the fight was, he lost to Lara clearly. It was 50/50 with Trout, but what did the cards look like. He needs all the help he can get, and is not that great a fighter, and seeing as there has not been any improvement in his 9 years in the business, he never will be great.

I was there, so I can confirm the big Canelo contingent in Grand Rapids. Crowd would've been bigger if it wasn't in the middle of the day on a Wednesday. I had to take off work.
