Showtimes's current business model can't last long, especially considering they are spending so much on mismatches. Still, not trying to chop, but how many cards does HBO have for the rest of the year? Seems like boxing as a whole has been on a decline this whole year, at least compared to the amazing 2013. At least HBO has meaningful matches like Hopkins vs Kovalev.

After GGG/Rubio on Oct.18, HBO has six more cards planned for 2014. Showtime has a card this Saturday and already has a card planned out for Nov.1st. I expect Thurman and Khan to fight this year, and they'll probably be headlining their own cards.

Damn, I guess I was wrong, haven't done a good job of keeping up with future fights. Can't believe I forgot about Golovkin vs Rubio lol, still I am glad to be wrong the more boxing the better.

Paying $750,000 Haymon fighters for Salka type fights and sparring sessions won't last you long in the business. I don't know what this Espinoza guy is thinking. Of course, when you ask them to fight each other they would want to get paid ten times more.

And the cards they have done were absolute trash, money completely wasted. Where are all the fools talking about Haymon/Showtime saving boxing? Anybody with any sense would've seen this coming, but some people would rather be nuthuggers of advisers instead of getting good fights.

showtime was doomed to fail when they agree to a multimillion contract with a boring fighter.

                    thats all i can say...

Really bad year for showtime. Haymon played Espinoza like a punk. Hate that al Haymon is involved with the sport. He's a fans/promoters worst nightmare and if you think other u my friend are a complete idiot.
