Moscow Fight Card: Povetkin-Takam, Chakhkiev-Fragomeni & Undercards RbR & Discussion

This is a very good heavyweight matchup of two bona fide top ten HWs coming up on Oct 24.

    What's your prediction?

    Here is the fight card:

    http://boxrec.com/show_display.php?show_id=698065

    Alexander Povetkin - Carlos Takam

(WBC Silver HW title - referee: Kenny Bayless judges: Mauro Di Fiore, Omar Mintun, Predrag Aleksic)

    Rakhim Chakhkiev - Giacobbe Fragomeni

    (European (EBU) cruiserweight title)

    Arif Magomedov - Michael Zerafa

(12 round world youth title fight, undefeated young middleweights. Magomedov could be a star of the future)

    Umar Salamov - Patrick Bois

(Age 20 Salamov is one of the best prospects in boxing)

    Murad Khalidov vs. Vladimir Goncharov

(heavyweight Goncharov is now promoted by Andrey Rabinsky, and is still young enough to have some potential)

    Eduard Troyanovsky - Jose Alfaro

    Manuel Charr - Michael Grant

    Sergey Ekimov - Miguel Velozo

    Evgeny Smirnov - Michael Nyawade

Povetkin should be able to outbox him. Takam is way too slow and muscular to be taken seriously as a heavyweight contender and he doesn't have a big punch. I wouldn't be surprised if Povetkin stops him in the 7th or 8th round.

povetkin by late tko. hes just much more skilled. I really hope he comes into the shape he was in last time for now on. hes had a lot of fights where he clearly wasn't in great condition

First, this is a very good fight. I like Povetkin late by KO but can see it going either way.

He did well against Perez and Thompson, both decent heavyweights.

Good matchup that goes the distance. It will be difficult for Takam to win a decision in Russia though.
