I don't know why people pretend like that isn't the case. As if it diminishes that fact that GGG is a beast. He's still the same fighter, just isn't ready for Ward yet. Nothing wrong with that at all.

totally agree man...why do you have to be the absolute best to be considered good??? Not saying I know exactly who would win that fight, but I 'd love to see it.

I still consider his win over Dawson as solid, Abraham was a decent win.
Definitely agree its a good resume, it would be a shame to see a hall of fame caliber fighter retire without a hall of fame resume though wouldnt it?

Anyways im sure he wont retire. Hopefully we can see him in with some more top fighters again soon

Well under the terms of his contract he has to fight x number of fights. The more he sits out and doesnt fight the longer he will be under contract.

I think it's a HOF resume to be honest....better that Joe Cal and a few others. Now that Gatti's in it's kind of murky for me to guess at who would get in.

                Yeah.

I think that would have been a pretty good test between them, during the Super 6.

I hope he doesn't retire, Ward and Cotto have been the only two fighters I have ever followed from the beginning, sad to see one of my favorite fighters say something like this.

He doesn't retire... But he doesn't enjoy fighting anymore... Highly gifted, highly intelligent -- but no fire inside...

That is Wishful Thinking For Some I'm sure but I doubt it, he is only 30 Years old so if he has to wait he will be alright but it sucks that the #2 P4P Fighter in the World is Sidelined like this, terrible for the sport
