Is Andre Ward going to retire

Apologies if this has already been posted, but a rather cryptic tweet by Ward was posted a day ago.

    Thoughts?

Yeah, he's been talking like that for a while. It seems he wants big fights and to walk away soon, and if he can't get those big fights he'll be happy to walk away anyway.

If that's what he wants to do, all the power to him. As a boxing fan, it'd be a shame to see someone who could have been a great walk away so early.

He's clearly not going to fight again under his current contract.

I'm sure if he won in court he would be active.

What exactly is the latest with him? Is he just going to sit out his entire contract?

If he decides to end it that's a pretty damn good resume to leave the sport with.

In that sense I can't disagree with you but it's a damn good resume regardless, not many can say they were dominant against that level of opposition. The way I see it, the sport is brutal as it is and not everyone could go down as a great, Ward can still hold his head up high.

His resume isn't even that good. His best wins are Froch and Kessler. Other than that, it's quite bare.

His performances have been the thing that sticks out.
