Try explaining to a casual who wants to see an HBO fighter fight on network television that it will never happen because Haymon has only HIS fighters fighting on NBC. It'll be like wanting to see the Yankees play the redsox but because of behind the scene politics it will never happen. Boxing will not prosper as a whole until its governed like every other mainstream sport.
So it's Haymon's fault that fighters signed exclusive contracts with HBO? Okay got it; move on nothing to see here.

I honestly believe this new Haymon business model will save boxing. I have to give him kudos for taking the risk. haymon can't NBC the same way he has robbed HBO/Showtime.

I'm not placing blame on any sole person or network. It just is what it is and that's a big mess with many of the top fighters unable to fight one another due to the politics in the sport.

If this deal works and AL gives us the fights we want to see in his stable-great. If NBC does what HBO/SHO do-give newly signed fighters squashes in the 1st fight on their network-then this is going to suck for the 1st 3-6 months and I will lose complete interest.

It would be interesting if NBC had Floyd v khan or danny on free tv from the MGM on May 5th weekend.

Al Haymon is trying to save boxing.

Yeah, what boxing really needs is matchups like Santa Cruz-Roman, Garcia-Salka, Matthysse-Ortiz, Peterson-Santana to broadcast to an even greater, wider audience - that'll really highlight the sport in a positive light.

You know what, I doubt that happens cause I don't see how they could pay Floyd his 32 million BUT that would be the way for Floyd to keep his date cause they would definitely not go ahead with Canelo/Cotto then.

Big L, my man, NBC or CBS can pay Floyd $320 mil and not even blink. The only problem I see is if advertisers want to be associated with a Floyd fight and if the networks-given all the flack the NFL is getting-will put Floyd on given his DV history.

But hey, Floyd did that to himself.

She wasn't asked about Haymon. Her buisness is her promotions not the network . She just always running her mouth. Who knows if all this is even true.
