What I don't understand is, why is Haymon paying them money? Isn't it common practice for a Network to BUY what they are going to air?

If HBO won't work with Haymon fighters and Showtime will only work with them so long as they sign exclusive network deals, then who can blame him for trying to create a third option that benefits him and the fighters he manage? Regardless of how people feel about Haymon, you can expect to see more fighters running to get on board with Al "The Boogieman" Haymon. He is on his way to becoming an unstoppable freight train in the boxing world.

I dont see it working for the simple fact that boxing is an unorganized mess. You have fighters that fight on this network and not on that network. You have fighters who wont fight fighters from other promotional companies. etc.
Try explaining to a casual who wants to see an HBO fighter fight on network television that it will never happen because Haymon has only HIS fighters fighting on NBC. It'll be like wanting to see the Yankees play the redsox but because of behind the scene politics it will never happen. Boxing will not prosper as a whole until its governed like every other mainstream sport.
