Khan has always tried to down talk the Brook fight, while Brook has and still does want it; I believe they both know that Brook wins via KO.

Brook would also have a good 80% of the fan support, he is FAR more liked in the UK.

Don't be dumb. Kell Brook himself or should i say Eddie Hearn himself is not seeking out an Amir Khan fight just yet. They want a soft touch for the first title defense.

Brook has already stated that he'll fight Khan in his first fight back after surgery. Brook has no worries at all about that fight.

You already know the answer to this question. Khan would risk losing if he fought anyone other than a journeyman fighter. He fought a journeyman two fights ago and arguably lost. He will not step in the ring with anyone who has a snowball's chance in hell of beating him until he gets his shot at Mayweather.

Good point. But the risk is that the Brook fight would lose all of its value if Kell gets beat before they can fight.

Sure but the much more lucrative Mayweather fight goes away if Khan loses to Brook, which in all likelihood he would.

Khan didn't want the fight until now because before beating Porter, Brook was a full fledged nobody. Now the fight makes sense for Khan and he will fight Brook if he doesn't get Floyd next.

I'm wondering if the Floyd money (the usual 3 mil for his opponents) would be as big as an 80,000 crowd like they had for Froch-Groves II. Khan would be getting a considerably higher percentage of that pot compared to a Mayweather fight.

You might be right, but the Brook fight will still be there if Khan loses to Floyd. Not so the other way.
