At what point will you start contributing something meaningful and of substance to the discussion of Boxing. All your threads seem to just troll ignorance and exploit your inability to engage in a clear, concise manner ....
How is he a stylistic cherry picker when he signed a contract to fight Pacquaio?
No one told Pac to claim to be afraid of needles.
Any Joe schmoe can sign a contract....it's what's in the contract that matters....are the conditions reasonable? And according to Espn....Manny also signed a contract to fight Mayweather..so your point is?
False. He fights the guys that have the hot hand at the moment. The only major miss in his career was Pacquiao. I would have liked to see him take other fights but all in all his opponent selection has been good.
When Floyd comes out himself and says "I've earned the right to pick and choose who I want to fight", then its kind of hard to defend him when people call him a cherry picker.
Floyd has clearly implied many times throughout his recent interviews that he has achieved a comfort level allowing him the privilege and luxury to pick and choose easy pay days and opponents designed to provide minimal risk and maximum profits.
Anyone be they fan or hater who denies this fact disrespects and lacks appreciation for Mayweather's keen sense of business and the years of hard word and dedication he invested to get to where he is today.
I mean he hasn't even fought a fast fighter in last 10 years.
Just have a look at some of his last opponents, Cotto,Ortiz,Guerrero,Canelo,Maidana,Maidana2 tho all are respectable fighters but 1 thing is common on all of them, they all lack lateral movement and speed and are flat footed.
Last time Mayweather fought a fast fighter was Zab Judah and in that fight he lost first 4 rounds and his 'gloves touched the canvas' after that he's not been in the ring with anyone fast or someone who could move.
''Plodders after Plodders after Plodders'', cmon now?
That makes me wonder if Mayweather is a 'Stylistic' CherryPicker, he only fights guys with 'Styles' that suit him.
Even before Zab Judah I couldn't find anyone fast on his resume. He fought Mosley but he was like 39 wayyy past his prime and wasn't known for anything substantial. Oscar was wayyy past his prime too and Floyd only managed a split decision win.
I just couldn't find any 'Stylistic Variation' on his resume, could you?
Can anyone name just 3 fast fighters with movement from Mayweather's resume? Thanks.!
Why do you and the one other hater keep making these type of threads about topics that have been discussed ad nauseum? You have already been schooled on this topic.
