Why would Canelo give him another shot when now nobody wants to see it anymore?

Can you admit that lara shot himself in the foot with his stinky performance on his big night?
He didn't shoot himself in the foot, that is how he fights WTF? No one can really be mad at either. Canelo likes to **** we all no this, Lara fights off his back foot, we all know this. Canelo didn't try to cut Lara off for most of the fight and Lara kept on his back foot the whole time so for most the fight they weren't engaging each other.

If anyone needs blame for this its the geniuses who matched them up.

I agree with Canelo on this, after all the talk Lara did he showed up on fight night to run a marathon so I don't think he desserves a rematch specially right now.

like pacquiao says when he channels his inner bruce lee

"when you are pro fighter you can't just fight to win, you have to entertain, when you are a pro you are not just a fighter, but a performer/entertaining, you must give the fans a fight"

words of a wise man, take heed

From a fan perspective as well, it simply doesn't look good when he is in there against guys like Lara or Floyd. Canelo doesn't know how to fight boxers that aren't super aggressive. The Lara fight was trash from an entertainment stand point and business wise, the two should have never been matched up.
Really that is what good management is for, ok Canelo is a gutsy guy and obviously confident in his abilities which are both great things to have. Still there has to be a guy that steps in and saying no you shouldn't really fight that guy unless you have to. A fighter will fight whoever to get ahead but with good management these things should only come up sparingly.

Especially after the Floyd fight, you got out boxed and clowned by Floyd fair enough most people can forgive that since Floyd is held in very high regard for that. There is no way Canelo should be fighting anyone (from a management standpoint) that has a high risk of making him look bad again on PPV that is just not the way you build a fighter.

It is ok to have a fight like Lara mixed in fight a tough guy and get out with a W, but when the list of his last 4 fights goes Close fight with trout who was just back fighting on ESPN recently, getting dominated by Floyd in the biggest ppv in a long time, coming back with a good performance on PPV against Angulo then comes back with a terrible fight with Lara on PPV which he edged. That is certainly not star making and the funny thing is Canelo was already minted before all that so he didn't even need to go that sort of route. Sure some hardcore fans would talk smack about him but some will anyway and if he was looking truly impressive they would be totally drowned out by legions of more casual Canelo fans.

Screwed out of a rematch? He's not entitled to a rematch afte the way he performed!

He's lucky he got a shot period!! Canelo did't have to give him a shot at all, he gave him an opportunity and he squandered it.

Lara isn't entitled **** especially when Canelo has bigger and better opportunities ahead of him for more money.

You think Lara would have given Canelo a rematch? HELL NO he would have moved on and looked to make a Cotto or Mayweather fight!! All the Canelo haters wouldn't be complainin about Lara giving Canelo a rematch so i don't wannsa hear it.

Lara is not a victim, he got his shot and has no one to blame but himself. He needs to get over it and move on, he's not gettin a rematch nor does he deserve one

I'm obviously in a tiny minority but I really didn't think it was a bad bout overall. Then again, I've always felt Hopkins-Winky was a very solid, harshly critiqued fight, too.
