What black fighter has been worthy of a Floyd shot besides Bradley

It depends what you mean by worthy. Floyd seems to pick his opponents on who can be marketed to bring in the most profit for the least risk. Holding fights on those weekends is a big part of marketing his opponents.

I don't think that Guerrero, Maidana and Ortiz are any more legitimate than facing Alexander or even Petterson (at a stretch) before their most recent losses.

He promotes fights with middling opposition on the back of them being Hispanic.

When he was gonna fight Alexander this place went ape shlt. There hasn't been any black ww that are an enticing fight for Floyd till now with Thurman and brook if they get another good win

Theres hardly ever any too black ww when Floyd is picking an opponent. And he's fought plenty of black guys lol he doesn't pick who to fight by race

Kell isn't trying to talk his way into the mega fight, he's just going about his own business and trying to build on the impressive Porter win.

Brook's win over Porter beats what Maidana, Ortiz and Guerrero done to get the Mayweather fight. Brook just happens to be better than all of them, has a good jab and isn't too well known in the US....not a good mix when it comes to getting Mayweather.

Brook does not deserve a shot but Ortiz and Guerrero did when they beat Berto? Maidana did when he beat Broner. He must see something in Brook that he does not feel comfortable with. Brook would be a better choice than Khan

This place goes ape **** whoever he's pencilled in to fight! . . Alexander could of faced him after fighting Bailey but instead Guerrero got the shout, not because it was an enticing fight for the fans but because he's relatively flat-footed, feather-fisted and happens to be Hispanic. Any other ethnicity and he doesn't get that fight. The fact that he's Mexican-American made it an enticing fight for Floyd because he knew it would sell on Cinco de Mayo.

Brook is laser-focused on Khan. The fight is huge in the UK. This thread makes no sense.

Also, going by Jeff's comments here, i think Mayweather and his team are rather mistaken about Khan's popularity.

I think they expect him to have a huge passionate travelling fan base from the UK like Ricky Hatton did, which is very far from the truth. Nobody in the UK really cares about Khan now, his star faded quite a while ago. Everyone knows his name but i bet they couldn't tell you what he's been up to, nobody gives a ****.

If Khan or Brook had a fight announced against Mayweather, i'd dare say that Brook would take just as many or more fans than Khan would from the UK. He has a strong sheffield fan base, nothing on the scale of Hattons football fans/manchester fan base but i bet a lot from Sheffield and other places would go over for support. A lot of people got behind him when he did the business against Porter.

Khan is not a huge high rewarding fight like they think. I think they need to research that a bit more.

Anyway, judging by the purses for the last few Floyd opponents, Khan and Brook would be better of fighting each other.
