I like Thurman but come on.

Unless Floyd completely breaks down in the next few months this is just ****** talk. They will never fight, if they did he might cause Floyd some problems but he'd end up being seriously outclassed. Floyd's so far above anything he's ever been in with, we've seen this realisation with a few fighters.

He took every round from Karass and Diaz. I don't even think I saw Diaz land a meaningful punch. I mean, wtf, he took Diaz out by the 3rd round and BRUTALLY knocked out Karass.

Chaves is just a strong starter so he took a few of the early rounds. Keith started to box and just slaughtered him.

He's been stunned once from a punch he didn't see coming and recovered immediately. He's only been "dropped" once, I never saw the fight so can't really comment but MANY fighters have been dropped once or twice in their careers.

You people are ****ing high or something.

Lol at all the guys saying he's been hurt in every fight..
And honestly, he looks better then Khan at this point and I think he'd knock him out within 8 rounds.
And to the guy who said Maidana didn't fight him because he was a nobody, who was Maidana before he beat Broner? Just a guy who lost to every good fighter he faced.
People are delusional.JMM has been knocked down more times then I could even count, does that make him a glass jaw bum too?

only thing about a floyd fight is that thurman likes to box and use his power on the outside, thats where floyd picks him apart. If thurman was a guuy who got inside and roughed floyd up maybe

              Not exactly......

Not so fast. Floyd is 37yrs old and he looks it. Any young and primed fighter has a chance to defeat him at this point. Thurman would as well even though he's a bit inexperienced. You don't have to rough Floyd up to beat him. he can be outboxed by a fighter with fast hands, fast feet, and stamina.

And you say that based on what exactly?

Guerrero and Canelo are arguably better boxers than Thurman. Remember what happened when they tried to box with Floyd?

Floyd has gotten quite a bit slower and more still since that Guerrero fight. You age quick in sports at Floyds age.

And Canelo fought Floyd like an idiot. Trying to outbox him, without trying to press him at all. Sorry Canelo has never been a good enough technician to hang with someone like Floyd, doesn't have fast enough hands.

Floyd got old. No shame in that. But, the PEDS atleast allow him to stay in competition.

The Floyd biased fans here are something. There is another thread talking about the Maidana-Broner fight and how Broner did a lot better than he gets credit for. Broner was hit by several bombs dropped twice and hurt a lot in the fight.

Whereas Floyd always gets so much credit for oblitering Canelo, where Mayweather landed nothing hard. Didn't hurt him at all, hit the gloves a lot. Ran around a lot. Even missed a lot of punches. The view of what Mayweather does is very skewed IMO. He didn't dominate Canelo the way that is generally portrayed and he didn't dominate Maidana the way that is portrayed.

The judges and fans tend to give Mayweather every benefit of the doubt in scoring. That is the only reason why he is perceived to be dominating everyone. If the fight were scored fairly, Thurman would have a chance to win. Mayweather cannot hurt him whereas Thurman's punch is much stronger. Thurman would be more active and throw combinations, whereas Mayweather is more likely to throw that lead right, left jab, check hook, one punch at a time. But if Floyd were to remain upright at the end, which is a good possibly. His legion of yesmen will again state he dominated.

A punch drunk jsk?Maidana Ko 8 if this happens. If maidana hurts Thurman which he will, Thurman will not recover, and if he starts backpeddling ,maidana will close the gap like he did with broker and unleash the overhand right.Goodnight Thurman.
