Then when finally the testing and the money wasn't an issue, "I dont work with bob arum". if he really never wanted to work with bob arum, he would have said that **** from the get go.

Eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao has finally agreed to everything Floyd Mayweather Jr. wants in order to make what seems to be the biggest and most lucrative fight in boxing history.

One of the major conditions demanded by Mayweather during the early stage of negotiations almost three years ago was the Olympic-style drug test (OSDT), which required Pacquiao to submit to a random drug test all the way up to the day of the fight.

Mayweather believed Pacquiao was taking performance enhancing drugs which gave him an added advantage over his opponents during his previous fights.

In order to come to an agreement, Pacquiao offered a 14-day drug testing window, saying he feels weak when blood is taken from his body and would need a few days to recover.

Mayweather balked at Pacquiao's offer and after weeks and months of negotiations, Pacquiao relented and changed his offer to seven days.

Still, Mayweather continued to criticize Pacquiao for his refusal to join him in what he called an action necessary to clean the sport of boxing.

In his desire to give boxing fans the fight they have long wanted to see, Pacquiao finally decided to agree on Mayweather's demand without pre-conditions.

It's not like he just agreed to testing in the first negotiations. He came around in 2012! The question many people have always had was "why would you want any cut-off dates?"

It only invites him to respond in a similar fashion. Question(s) for you, in all seriousness, why isn't Manny fighting Marquez? Is it hypocritical to say Marquez is "ducking" Pacquiao because he wants "50/50," or "$20 Million," and Marquez has 1 draw and 1 KO in 4 fights, yet Manny wanted 50/50 and more than $40 million from the P4P #1 fighter in the sport?
floyd and manny is 1 and 2 in pvp. and it is predicted that it will break all pvp records. one cant do it without the other. manny has settled for 45% since 2012. if floyd wanted his biggest payday and another feather in his cap as being involved in the biggest pvp ever then he should just forget all demands not related to the actual fight. blood test, ring size, gloves are related to the fight. personal animosity toward arum isn't.

He did say he was broke. BTW, he said the same thing trash talking Mosley.

He said he has losses. BTW, said the same thing trash talking Gatti.

Said he's been KO'ed. BTW, said the same thing trash talking Cotto.

We can't just add what we want to what he says so we can pretend.
Actually he did. In an interview he was quoted, " what does he bring to the table. We know he can be outboxed. We know he can be knocked out." and he said,"cotto to me is undefeated cuz margarito cheated him and pacquiao weight drained him. I want fighters to be at their best."

Please, do not use "NSB logic" as fact. Showtime has sold 4.7 mil ppv's between May 2013 and Sept 2014. Subscriptions are up. Maybe he did not surpass the 1 mil per fight goal and maybe showtime hasn't sold as many subscriptions as they thought. But just their revenue from those ppv's is profit.

You make valid points about Haymon but that really isn't the discussion of this thread.

You can't just force fit everything into the "its Floyd's fault" box when it doesn't fit.
You can sell 800 million PPV's if it's costing you money then who cares. Subscriptions are up... you're on drugs if you think it's only because of boxing. They have high quality programs like Ray Donovan and Shameless which is why people subscribe. Using your same numbers, all you did was really spin it in Floyd's favor. When I look at those numbers I see that they did 2.2 million buys in May 2003 and then it took them a year and half to get roughly that same number at 2.5 million.

Think about that for a minute. It took Floyd 3 other PPV's to get the same number he got with Canelo except his fee went from 40 million... to 96 MILLION dollars and you're going to sit here and tell me Showtime is doing great. Keep trying Dunn, I admire your resolve. You're like the Margarito of NSB, always getting beat down but you keep on fighting.

                  • Seriously though, if a fighter makes excuses and shows little results of making the fights actually happen then that fighter is a coward. Point blank.
