Maybe you don't understand because normal people don't analyze every word literally. you look at context and history to get a clears understanding. you also don't ignore the actions of others.

Outside of NSB it would be real simple-the fight was refused so the guy must not want it. Once you get on NSB you try and fit into the group mindset of "its Floyd's fault" so you try and fit everything into that box-even when it clearly doesn't fit.

That's why you get really crazy things like "the offers were designed to be refused" and "asking for testing equals ducking".

      1. One could just as easily argue that Pacquiao re-signing with Arum (a man who has said he'll never work with GBP, Haymon...a man who was in litigation with Floyd over money...a man who claims he didn't understand why Richard Schafer was calling him while at the same time saying he doesn't know who to call on Floyd's side...a man who found multiple excuses to avoid this fight on TWO occasions) was a sign that he wasn't interested in the fight either. After all, Manny could have done what Cotto did and then come back. Or what he made Mosley and Marquez do when they wanted to fight him. Works both ways.

      2. When Floyd Mayweather wanted to fight Oscar De La Hoya, he had to leave Arum. And it was amicable. This is what was said:

Arum agreed that the split with Mayweather was not on bad terms like their brief breakup last year. In fact, Arum said, "We intend to be back together. Everything with this was honorable and good. I had offered him numbers [for a multi-fight contract extension] that were livable. His expectations are in the stratosphere. He was entitled to buy me out, and he did. We decided this was the best way to handle it. He is a free agent. We have agreed to work with each other [in the future]."

The split frees Mayweather to make a potential deal with De La Hoya without Arum as part of the promotion. His involvement would have made making a deal almost impossible: The head of Top Rank has openly feuded with De La Hoya, his former superstar, and their companies rarely do business together as a result.

Arum said he was simply not interested in participating in a De La Hoya-Mayweather fight, but not because of his distaste for De La Hoya.

"I don't want to, because if I did that fight, I would be working for such a small percentage, it's not worth it," he said.

But forget all that...real talk...Pacquiao's Arum issue is not Floyd's problem. He's reached out multiple times. And proven his point. You want the fight? Act like it. The onus isn't on him anymore.
If mayweather really didn't wanna work with bob arum, or make him any money, why oh why did floydie and pac negotiate the fight on multiple occasions? He could've said that from the get go. COMMON SENSE! Use it.

lol yeah your right he will still the crowd. A lot of Floyd groupies think so.

        • one of the worst things about all this mayweather pac saga is that journalists who get a chance to question floyd about his behaviour, chicken out and ask him some sht question which mayweather replies to using his stock quotes, "im my own boss, numbers dont lie, We have a great team, al haymon tremendous job" etc etc. So boring listening to Mayweather now.

This probably never occurred to you but his decision to not want to work with Arum might have been based on those negotiations.

Instead of posting foolishness do yourself a favor and do some research and you will find that "FLOYD HAS NEVER WALKED AWAY FROM A NEGOTIATION WITH MANNY BUT MANNY HAS EVERY TIME!!!!! Floyd can boast that he PERSONALLY called and challenged Manny, he can also boast that the Nevada judge cleared him to fight Manny but Manny all of a sudden needed a special stadium, LMFAO!!! GTFOHWTBS!!!
**** are you talking about ******!? 40 mil flat no ppv is a good deal? Makin pacquiao submit to drug testing and then changing the cut off dates everytime he agrees to one. Why the testing? Cuz according to floydie,"He started his career at 106 and now he just walks through cotto? Cotto couldn't knock mosley down but pacquaio could?" Then when finally the testing and the money wasn't an issue, "I dont work with bob arum". if he really never wanted to work with bob arum, he would have said that **** from the get go.

He's only fought GBP for how many years now? Really, if we're arguing over Arum and Haymon there's seriously no contest between the two. You have one guy who in less than a year of leaving GBP has done nothing but lost money for the network. Sure, it's great for his fighters but what happens when the network says this isn't good for us and they black ball him? Showtime is the last only option if HBO tells you to leave, good luck with Haymon trying to compete for channel time on ESPN. Haymon and his bankroll are nothing compared to that NBA and NFL money.
Well you can't just say SO. If its so trivial, then Manny can do it.Please, lets not say no problems. Lets say he has found a way to work with rivals when it benefits him.

Please, do not use "NSB logic" as fact. Showtime has sold 4.7 mil ppv's between May 2013 and Sept 2014. Subscriptions are up. Maybe he did not surpass the 1 mil per fight goal and maybe showtime hasn't sold as many subscriptions as they thought. But just their revenue from those ppv's is profit.

You make valid points about Haymon but that really isn't the discussion of this thread.

You can't just force fit everything into the "its Floyd's fault" box when it doesn't fit.

That and then the immediate lawsuit for defamation as well.

Calling out Floyd with disrespect will NOT work. It only invites him to respond in a similar fashion. Question(s) for you, in all seriousness, why isn't Manny fighting Marquez? Is it hypocritical to say Marquez is "ducking" Pacquiao because he wants "50/50," or "$20 Million," and Marquez has 1 draw and 1 KO in 4 fights, yet Manny wanted 50/50 and more than $40 million from the P4P #1 fighter in the sport?
Who "retired" and who kept on fighting and winning? Yet, the "retiree" came back fought a fat Jmm and hes the a side doe. Laughable.
