I never accused Manny of ducking, Freddie clearly did though. It's on video, he literally tells Shane to his face that he's not getting the fight because at that stage he's too good.

Regarding Pac-JMM 3: Marquez was doing the far better work. The first two were very close, the 3rd fight was a clear Marquez win...116-112. As for the 4th fight, I belive that JMM was juiced to the max.
And im saying when youre moving up in weight, esp to unprecedented 7th, its ok to acknowledge some guys are too much. Say Cotto goes up to 168 to fight Froch, admitting Ward is too much. Is that a duck?

I didnt think Jmm 3 was a robbery. I had it a draw. I think Rick Reeno did as well, while Cliff and Jake scored it for Pac

Pac had already fought at 147 and had been coming into the ring for years as a ww. Another elite opponent who looked like a shell of his former self since fighting Margarito. Something Roach mentions time and time again before the fight was made and basically confirms that, that is the very reason that they wanted to fight him in the first place.

If Cotto held a 175 belt its a duck , Manny beat the great Margarito for a JMW title didnt he , Manny is super Manny isnt he , once again Manny gets a pass like he is listed by National Geographic as an endangered species

You boys are just unreal in the flip flopping excuses you make for Manny , Canelo would blast Manny into outer space , Cotto at 154 will do the same , Thurman would stop him even Porter would give him hell , Khan would box his ears off and Brook would stop him , no wonder he fights JWWs like Rios and Algieri .

Manny is like competing in go karts and talking Formula one , he want s no risk fights while trying to get a cash out with Floyd .

He got an offer he couldnt refuse from a guy unranked at welter, after just having moved up to 135. No intention of going to welter otherwise, nor did he get any welter cred for demolishing favored DLH. Its not like Floyd being 2x champ at 154, then unifying at 152 and defending at 147 lol

You are right, both are of the highlighted are garbage. I have no problem saying when Floyd is full of ****. BUT, that doesn't change the fact that Pac took the easier fight, ducked what was perceived as the more difficult fight and added in a catchweight for good measure, for a fighter who looked past his best. You know if that was Floyd he would be crucified for it. Why give Pac a pass? He has already moved up, had been in the ring as a ww for years and clearly could handle fighting at ww. Honestly, the very first time that I heard they were taking on Cotto rather than Shane I was mad beause the first thing i thought was "complete mismatch" and it wasn't in Cotto's favor either.

Do you know another fighter that took the toughest fight moving up to his 7th division, without a CW? Didnt think so.

You shoulda put money on it then. Mismatch lol, Floyd Jr and Sr didnt think so, couldnt believe the result, got them terrified. One year earlier and Pac is a massive underdog to Cotto

So do you think Cotto went unshot after taking another destructive beating at the hands of Pac, to give Floyd a tough fight?

It's not just that Freddie flat out ducked it, it's that he then had the nerve to later make the fight and try to promote it when Shane was totally washed up.

Again, I dont have any issues with Pac or Miguel, I just can't stand how Freddie goes about advantage seeking, all the time.

But the point is, Cotto WASN'T the toughest fight. He was a fighter that looked less than his former self as Roach commented on many times. Shane was perceived as the tougher fight.

Whether u believe it or not, Mismatch is EXACTLY what I thought when they announced it. I wanted to see Pac/Mosley and the way he lobbied for it, that is the fight that should've been made. Roach claimed it was about because of Cotto being a bigger draw but somehow Pac/Mosley did more sales than Pac/Cotto even after Shane was shot.

I believe what Cotto said about the issue. He said that after he fought Margarito he lost confidence. Confidence he didn't fully get back until he fought and beat Margarito in the second fight. His fights between I and II attest to what he claims. He looked like crap after Margarito and then looked much more like the Cotto of old in the Mayweather fight and Martinez fight(not so much in the Trout fight though).

I posted on what you stated , dont matter what your ongoing convo was about , you made a statement which was your fanboy modus operandi which gives Manny a pass for everything bull-sht .

Pac Cotto is what , one guy REFUSING to fight the other without a CW , thats the bottom line , be like Floyd calling out Canelo now and Canelo says ok Floyd no problems with a rematch but NO CW , and then Floyd says no deal without a CW , that was Manny Cotto and there is no excuse for it , its a flat out DUCK .
