Whether u believe it or not, Mismatch is EXACTLY what I thought when they announced it. I wanted to see Pac/Mosley and the way he lobbied for it, that is the fight that should've been made. Roach claimed it was about because of Cotto being a bigger draw but somehow Pac/Mosley did more sales than Pac/Cotto even after Shane was shot.

I believe what Cotto said about the issue. He said that after he fought Margarito he lost confidence. Confidence he didn't fully get back until he fought and beat Margarito in the second fight. His fights between I and II attest to what he claims. He looked like crap after Margarito and then looked much more like the Cotto of old in the Mayweather fight and Martinez fight(not so much in the Trout fight though).
I see, so this is how to make Cotto unshot after Marg:

Have him get destroyed again, by Pac
Impose a cw title defense vs one eyed noncontender, recently destroyed by Pac. Potshot all night, to a tech stoppage due to eye injury
    Cotto unshot!

Bud you missed the point. Pac didnt take on number 1 guy in for his 7th divisional belt. He took on top 2 Cotto. I bet your favorite fighter hasnt fought anyone of that caliber in his 7th or 6th

Again, I dont have any issues with Pac or Miguel, I just can't stand how Freddie goes about advantage seeking, all the time.
Well Mosley was still legit top 5, after Pac had mowed down the rest of the top welters willing to fight him, in short order. The Mora fight was at MW, and iirc most had Mosley winning vs bigger guy hard to look good against. Remember he fought Canelo at 154 later, a weight Mosley never liked. Much later he outperformed titlist Paulie vs Cano. Agree on Freddie

You always tippy toe around the BS , you never look at the timeline .

Shane was begging Manny for a fight when coming off the Margarito KO , he said he would except 144 which would have been crazy but he was willing , he said to Roach you gave Cotto 145 and Roach said but your not Cotto your too good Shane , Roach was shting himself because of the Margo KO , Roach was also quoted saying that Cotto was damaged goods but thats another story , back to Mosley , so then Roach says 142 and Mosley moved on , roll the clock forward a little , Floyd fights Mosley at 147 and dominates him , then Mosley fights are draw with Mora who is not in this class , then Roach says ok we will fight Mosley now and be the first to stop him and the 147 weight dont matter now .

This is cherry picking at its finest and you want to whitewash it .
