I ain't looking to get into an accounting discussion here. It should be obvious to anyone who spends time in a boxing forum the kid draws big, and is clearly one of the biggest names in the sport.

Why can't it be,"I want GGG"!

When PAC was fighting at 122 Merchant asked PAC if he wanted Ayala or maybe test some of the 126 guys out. PAC straight out told Merchant,"I want Barerra"!
read the full sentence ¨He's a very nice person but this is a sport, this is a business - and if I have to fight him - no problem," translation for you : i will fight him even if he were my friend... unlike others ¨i wont fight a cuban brother¨...

When I think "cash cow", I think Floyd, Manny, DLH, Tyson, Leonard, etc. Canelo isn't that. matter of fact, he's not even close. He will likely peak as a big time draw among fight fans with minimal crossover appeal like a Miguel Cotto. And he probably doesn't make it that far because he doesn't have the talent to win any of these big fights.

SMH, you think Clottey is a soft touch?

And now he's ready to face all of the stars under HBO's banner, including IBO/WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (30-0, 27KOs).

Canelo will return to HBO in December and then there is heavy talk of a fight with WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto in May.

Canelo surely is taking some pages from the dela hoya book. win or lose, legacy grows once you take all the fighters within your weight division.

350k ppv. Not to bad for a 24 year old. What numbers were cotto, pacquiao, or mayweather doing at 24? How many is GGG doing? I can't see how you can hate on the kid b

Now fighting a washed up Clottey who had only 3 fights in past 5years. Look how long PAC & Floyd mentioned each others name. No fight. Talk is cheap. Show me the knuckles!
Clottey destroyed his last opponent man. Canelo fought Lara like 4 months after Lara called him out, so where are you getting your facts from by chance?
