I would guess Canelo may even be willing to do non-PPV fights on those dates IF Mayweather decides to keep them. In that case, Mayweather will be in danger of losing a lot of PPV buyers. Seems Oscar is serious in fighting for those dates.

I still really don't like Canelo, nothing against him, but he can't fight pure boxers with footwork. We'll keep throwing him in against flat footed guys instead because the three showings he had against counter punchers weren't that good. Trout was debatable in a lot of fans eyes, he got feinted out the game against Floyd, and looked even worse against Lara.........

I agree and I've said it since it was announced. Richard did the leg work for GBP now that he's gone Oscar can't run it, and for those of you thinking GBP has all the fighters, you're wrong. A lot of fighters listed on the GB website are contracted under Al Haymon, who probably owns the majority of the big fighters in boxing today.

Arum is going to destroy GB and Oscar and probably take most of the money Oscar was supposed to get lol, great move though, instead of being independent and finding another CEO to run your company you run right back to the dude you left.......makes no sense

Fight PAC or get your date taken. Canelo being Mexican can actually argue that he should fight on that date anyway. It's simple, Cotto vs Canelo on HBO ppv and Floyd vs whoever on Showtime ppv. Pick what you want. And like I said before, if he ain't fighting Pacquiao, nobody gives a ****.
Floyd would rather try to "steal" Cotto for his May fight, instead of fighting Manny...

Yes, I agree. The thing is, let these Mexicans and others like Cotto, Pac, fight in their own countries and see how much PPVs they do. They are all counting on dates in the States. Why?

If you are so cool and a draw, fight in your country, any date, May, September or June (same time zone, anyway), or go elsewhere (non-US), and see how well you draw and how much you make. I bet they won't make as much, maybe 90% less.

Oscar, take Canelo's fights from now on to Mexico, Manila, or Puerto Rico, and pioneer those PPV bonanzas. You shouldn't insult the hand that feeds you, and their great fighters.

I f Canelo fights Cotto in May, no one but his ethnic group would watch Floyd unless he fights Paquiao. Floyd has high rating due to emotional marketing which is people actually paying to see him lose, as weird as that sounds. The marketing geniuses know that, just like they know that Coca-cola is bad but we drink it nonetheless. Floyd also needs to have a Mexican or at least a Latino on his card so people would pay to watch his boring fights. He even uses the Mexican colors, please Floyd most Mexican fans laugh at you, we donīt want cowards using our colors. Sure, there are some Mexican fans that like Floyd but most donīt and sure as hell they would pay big bucks to see Canelo and guess what, Tecate and Corona are huuuuuge sponsors as well as Mexican and Spanish TV who pay biiiiig bucks too. And guess what, Latinos are the best tippers at hotels so everyone loves them, and we also clean the rooms hahaha.

It is obvious you like dancing. Boxing is another sport. Footwork is a difficult term to define and therefore has many interpretations. If by footwork you mean someone that moves around with rythm and athleticism, OK. Canelo can beat a guy like that if he doesnīt hug like those cowards you mention. I can rephrase your logic by saying that Floyd and Lara canīt fight anyone with power and machismo and end up running , hugging, pitty pat pinching and using their " footwork ". Become macho sir, you still got time.
