The difference is, NO BOB ARUM, and Khan will come cheap (about $8 Million). Add the live gate (if it's in the UK) and plus the guaranteed $32 million, and it's not a bad way to make some real money on the road to retirement.

Most observers felt Floyd won the first fight, clearly. Just not by a wide margin as he usually does. That was the consensus worldwide. Not a conspiracy. You guys just stay mad. But don't worry, it's not your fault Maidana punched himself out and didn't have stamina to last 12 rounds.

how are going to talk shit about somebody who already embarrassed you? canelo doesn't have the boxing skills to be a superstar they can try to sell all they want.

              I don't get Canelo's goal here.

Is he trying to be disrespectful in general? Towards the guy who embarrassed him by winning basically every round?

Is he trying to bad mouth Mayweather's style? Surely saying he ran from Maidana yet stood right in front of you and clowned you reflects badly on you more than anything else?

What he should've done is demanded a rematch @ 154 for Cinco de Mayo. Instead he's going after Cotto. Cotto is not a bad opponent, but Mayweather has already beat him too. Mayweather should be target #1, for a) he beat that ass already, b) you broke the record for revenue with Mayweather.

Now that Maidana is done with Mayweather, let's see how many people (who thought he was a weak opponent) call him out to fight him.
Hard to justify a rematch. He got beat so definitively that it's still too early to even try a rematch. He'd need to first smash through Cotto at the very least. And I mean just walk through him, which will never happen.

IDK, I dont think Cotto-Canelo happens in May. Is cotto fighting again this year? If not, i dont think this fight happens in May.
Cotto just got that belt, he will take at least 1 gimme fight before he fights canelo. Cotto is trying to make the most $$ possible. He didnt get the belt to lose it in his very next fight. The canelo fight will still be there. So canelo vs. TBA in may will not outsell anything floyd does on that day.
People like to say this forces floyd to fight pac but at the same time it forces canelo to fight someone good everytime as well. So basically the canelos/angulos and canelo/laras are not gonna cut it.

When the person he is talking about is public enemy no.1. If he spoke this way about anyone else, there wouldn't be a shortage of people putting him in his place.

He could say he was affected by the 2lb. CW, and demand a rematch @ 154. Mayweather hasn't even "proprely" defended the 154 belt in over a year, so he should get the sanctioning bodies behind him. Anyway, now that he's over at HBO, it won't happen. I was just saying that the best way to shut a man up is to beat him. I wouldn't mind seeing Maidana move up to 154 and fighting Canelo. I think it would be a good fight!
