You sick, that fight looked like the Shawn Porter Kell Brook fight and had similar scores. The rematch was a whitewash and some judge found a way to give Maidana 5 rds.

the fact that Canelo can't even make 154 anymore just shows you how drained he was against Floyd.
"To me, cotto is still undefeated cuz margarito cheated him and pacquiao WEIGHT DRAINED him."

So according to floyd, he never really beat canelo. He "weight drained him".

I'd be more excited about a Canelo/GGG clash. I think Cotto is too shopworn for a yound fresh fighter with heavy hands like Canelo. Cotto/Marquez, Canelo/GGG.

Canelo sounds very entitled. When is the last time Canelo was in an exciting fight?

I gave Maidana 5 rounds myself.

Round 1- where Floyd did absolutely nothing but move around the ring while Chino stalked and was the aggressor.

Round 3- where Madaina stole it with that huge straight right that rocked Floyd at the bell and left him staggering to his corner.

Round 4 -A round in which Maidana dominated Floyd.

Round 6 - A round where Maidana landed the cleaner harder shots and had Floyd on the ropes for the majority of the round.

Round 12 - A round where Floyd just ran to avoid engaging and protect his points lead.

However, I'm not sold on the "smashing" he did on Martinez. First, it should've happened 5 years ago. Second, the knee clearly gave Martinez problems. I still see this fight (Cotto vs. Canelo) as a 50/50 fight. I wanna see where this fight takes place. Will it be in Madison Square Garden, or somewhere in Texas? Who will be the A side in Cotto vs. Canelo?
Regardless of why, the fact is Martinez took a beating. Shoulda, woulda, coulda, is all that I hear since that fight. Martinez supposedly has terrible knees, but looked fine running across the ring when he wanted to cheap shot Cotto.

I swear, this is part of the problem with commentators. They totally influence people's opinions. I don't see Canelo vs. Cotto as a 50/50 fight. I see it more like 60/40 in favor of Cotto. He's the smarter fighter, more skilled, and is really a southpaw. But Cotto will be the underdog going into the fight.

I see Mayweather as historic, not just for being undefeated at age 37, which is ridiculous, but how he changed the game. Tyson, Ali, Frazier, Louis, all the greats got played by promoters, and did not end their careers well physically and financially. Go to BOXREC and see who those guys were fighting at 37, if they were fighting. Oscar took it to a new level, but he wasn't relevant at 37 either, but he was still doing major things in the game. Mayweather has just dominated the game in and out the ring like no other. He should put all his focus into being a better promoter, and maybe doing things that haven't been done before:

It was rumored that Al Haymon, a boxing powerbroker with at least 40 high-profile prizefighters under his wing, has initiated plans to start his own television network that will feature his fighters like Lucas Matthysse, Robert Guerrero, Keith Thurman, Chris Pearson and others. The company has previously depended on Golden Boy to televise its fighters but now seeks to go on its own.

Now that's big! If I'm Floyd, that's where I'm trying to be! **** Bob Arum!
