THING is, it is looking bad for SHO and great for HBO. TR and GB are now both with HBO... and SHO went all in on Floyd, and will pay the consequences once he has retired. ALSO, SHO will lose subscribers due to this... Mayweather does not fight on regular SHO.

It's funny how everything plays out though, HBO will end back on top and SHO back as the irrelevant boxing network it once was. I love it though, nobody hypes up and presents a fight like HBO does.
I have to agree with you on the motive of why Oscar went back to HBO. It's obvious Oscar gets upset at Mayweather dominance of being front and center especially over his prize possession Alvarez, which is why he went into rehab. I dont agree with you on that HBO will be back in top however. Showtime will always have Al Haymons talent which is much broader and charismatic. No one wants to see bland telecast like the foreigners HBO showcase.

Nationality doesn't matter when it comes to that May date. Mayweather fights in May and that's what PEOPLE know. HBO will lose and Alvarez will never make more than 10 million. Cotto will get the lion share and will ask for at least 25 million. Watch..

If that many people heard it then it can be proven, still that ends up a very messy battle that you hope they don't have to fight because exactly what Oscar said matters.

It is possible that Oscar messed up like that as he is not that slick a talker when he was stringing them along. I hope not though because that would just be terrible for everyone involved.

HBO has always been on top.

Show was SOOOO much better when it was a small program looking to make the best fights possible. Super Six... Bantam tourney... etc.

Showtimes mantra is now to basically make the worst fights possible because average fans are ****** and want to see their favorite fighter KO someone.

It's not that big of a deal. HBO is ****ed if a shot Cotto knocks off Canelo. And if Canelo wins that puts him in GGG's crosshairs. Good luck getting Golden Lush Promotions to agree to that fight.

Who Gives A Phukk? Espinoza & SHO Are Scumbag; Look At The Fights U Paid For!

Don't go acting like you're in the know, you know what was said, SHO was in some well attended room and such and such heard this or that. Don't play that fantasy game. The bottom line is HBO inked a deal and SHO didn't. SHO had $200m into Floyd. It's okay for HBO to have Canelo, especially when that's where Canelo wants to be. All this Espinoza does is whine and cry. He sounds like Juan Manuel Marquez after losing a Decision. All we the fans care about, is seeing great fights made! SHO gave us crap fights all year. Next up, Chad Dawson & some tomato can. And if you think it'll change next year, bet your house. Could have had Garcia - Peterson, they gave you Salka & Santana... They just as well given you Cheech & Chong, or Starsky & Hutch. Then they made it sound like Garcia & Peterson would happen in Dec. that's not happening. So get over this Oscar bashing. Watch the backlash from fans next year when SHO 2015 looks the same as '14, and you'll be crying its Haymon is the problem, leaving SHO out of the rant. Be happy for HBO. Whether Canelo wins or loses, he'll come to fight and we'll have great Boxing to watch..... Or, go keep tabs on who Salka fights next.

De La Hoya to the press: "I'm obviously doing what Canelo is asking of me. Canelo has expressed many months ago that he would love to explore the possibility of fighting on HBO. As his promoter, I have to obviously do whatever is possible to grant his wishes."

Meanwhile Haymon to Quillin: "Petey drop that belt and Uncle Al will line up the real big fights!

Canelo 1.5m vs Angulo 750k did 350k ppv buys.
Canelo 1.5m vs Lara 1m did 350k ppv
Mayweather 32m vs Guerrero 3m did 750k ppv buys
Mayweather 32m vs Maidana 1.5m did 900k ppv buys
mayweather 32m vs Maidana 3m did 925k ppv buys
Numbers are deceiving. Guess in which of these cards Showtime made a profit?
Canelo doesn't have to out sell Floyd and he never will, he just have to take a couple hundred thousand of buys away and showtime it's loosing money. Canelo can sell 300k and there is a profit, Floyd has to sell 1.1 so Showtime can get even. Floyd's money is guarantee regardless of oponent or ppv numbers. Floyd can fight Rod Salka sell only one ppv and he will get over 30m which is great for him, but horrible for Showtime.who doesn't think Showtime is not looking for a pacquiao fight, even if they have to share with HBO.

All of HBO PPV fighters' numbers combined still isn't going to topple Mayweathers numbers. Mayweather is the reason PPV became a necessity for the networks.
