HBO doesn't have to compete with Mayweather ppv sales.. They are not paying 30 million plus for one fighter per fight. HBO will make more meaningful competitive ppv fights in the future. Floyd will continue doing what he does over at showtime and HBO will continue doing what they do.

No need for bashing, and as boxing fans you can decide which card you rather purchase if both networks indeed face off on the same date.

Canelo would have to get KO'd or beaten close to death in order to lose. He won't be facing an opponent that has more financial backing than he does so that pretty much insures he won't lose on the scorecards if the fight is close. Just my opinion.

Meanwhile Haymon to Quillin: "Petey drop that belt and Uncle Al will line up the real big fights!
You're giving Haymon too much credit; he's a pimp and looks the part even. He's locked up like 120+ fighters under his authority, and Haymon showed in 2014, he's not about making big fights, he's about putting "named" on a fight card and aligning each with a tomato can. It's safe, his fighters get nice paydays and Pimp Al, gets paid each time too. iE: Garcia-Salka, Peterson-Santana. Oscar sought to get a unification fight between Garcia and Peterson and Al wouldn't let it happen. Then we were led to believe Al wanted to make that fight for December, and that's not going to happen. Haymon is going to smoke and mirror you all to death next year and beyond as long as you're willing to keep paying for it. He's going to hoard as many fighters as he can, and put none of them against one another, etch that in stone. If he sees it any other way, they why not show us in 2014??? Now he's bringing Chad Dawson out against some no name as though we care. His SHO figure-head Espinoza will be selling hard like he belongs on a used car commercial. Haymon has NO plans to make big fights. He wants his hookers out there pulling risk less tricks do they live to make another trip to the back. You'll see.

ODLH is just moving his peeps to HBO and back over so that Arum can run the show, we all know this, well people with common sense know and understand this. Richard did most of the leg work for GBP and now that he's gone, ODLH actually has to step up and act like a CEO and businessman, I highly doubt he's as well versed as Richard was or Arum is.

Makes perfect sense to me, ODLH can't run no business by himself, regardless of what BS you all will try and feed me.

Canelo just mad because Floyd steals his thunder being with Showtime, moving to HBO would make him the cash king on that network because let's face it, Canelo will start to sell more PPV's than Manny in the next year.

Don't "highly doubt" anything about Oscar; that implies you think you know him. You know nothing about Arum or Schaefer but for what you read. Unless you're n the inside or you've promoted fights alongside these guys, then your part is to enjoy Boxing and get behind whoever brings us the best, most competitive fights. SHO did a crap job in '14. Haymon has hoarded more of than 120 fighters under his regime. And none of these guys are fighting one another. If Oscar & Arum bring us Canelo vs Cotto, that's awesome. That's better than Garcia vs Rod SALKA. If Oscar & Arum bring us Canelo/Cotto winner vs Gennady, we're thrilled, what a great fight. That's better than Peterson vs Santana or Khan vs Joseito Lopez, or Chad Dawson and this tomato can this December. When Oscar fought, he fought the best, he wanted to fight the best, in their prime, multiple times if need be, win, lose, or draw. Arum promoted most of those, wanting the same thing. Everybody won, and Oscars resume of fights supports great fights that were made. There's no reason they don't want to come together and make great fights again as co-promoters. This is great for boxing. We have Bhop coming back to HBO for a war soon. Canelo and Cotto. Watch the backlash Haymon and SHO's Espinoza get in 2015, if it resembles more of what they gave us in '14, protecting their fighters from one another, just to create a safe payday for everyone.

I think we'll soon see that Oscar's only fighters are the ones on HBO. The Haymon fighters will be signed to other promotions really soon. Canelo was his power card at Showtime and he played that as soon as he could. I don't understand why you would give up having an entire network to yourself, to share HBO.

It's because of what you just said. Haymon has more than 120 fighters inked to him, and he's a butt smoocher with Ellerbe, Schaefer, Espinoza and they'll be sharing SHO too. The bottom line HBO has a long history of the biggest fights in history dating back many years, and Canelo wants to be a part of that; can't fault him for that. HBO has much deeper pockets than SHO and plenty of $$$ to go around.

Hoya is the odd man out in the Schaefer/Haymon/Espinoza triumvirate. I wouldn't be surprised if I learned that Espinoza treated Hoya like a piece of dirt.
