The Haymon fighters are already gone; nothing he can do about that now.

What he CAN do is sign young guys and put them in exciting, competitive match-ups on ESPN and then HBO.

Floyd will be retired by the time Schaefer and Haymon look to fully break off from Golden Boy anyway. They will have a lot of fighters, sure, but Showtimes budget cant support them all.

First it's BHOP and now it's Canelo.

But he needs to understand that throwing Showtime in the dust like that won't work. Especially not in the long run when 80% of Golden Boy's stable is signed to Al Haymon, who will eventually move his guys over to Mayweather Promotions once Schaefer gets on hand. And where does Oscar think those guys will fight? Yup you guessed it, right on Showtime. Does he really think Golden Boy will be as vibrant as it currently is with no fighters of note other than Canelo?

Karma is a b, and Oscar will know this soon enough for betraying Stephen Espinoza and Showtime.

I gotta agree, he needs to take it slow and not put all his eggs in one basket

Oscar has always wanted to be with HBO. It's where stars are built and flourish. Showtime isn't building stars, and in the long run, Haymon/Espinoza continue to make enemies and alienate themselves from the sport. They're just riding out the Mayweather gravytrain, that's all they know to do and he can't fight forever. Floyd is no Hopkins.
