Glaser says his PPV source is someone within Golden Boy, so someone involved with the promotion. Guys he trusts enough to tell him the truth, not a mouthpiece. Nothing inconsistent there.

I'm going off his feed which is what I looked over a couple months back. For both networks he has sources supposedly in the know. And his source at Showtime must really hate Espinosa or Showtime. Or maybe it's just him.

Glaser has been "on the money" all year with GBP information. If he says it's 772k, I'm inclined to believe him.

That's what it felt like anyway, no one thought it did better than the first fight, even Floyd fans.

This he is. It was him who first leaked the info of Canelo moving over to HBO, and now that seems to be the case. Canelo vs Clottey Dec 6th on HBO.

Looks like ODH is his GBP source.

Apparently his source is someone at Golden boy. Who that might be is up to speculation.

The entire Floyd/Maidana2 promotion seemed botched from the start. It felt like they were trying to sell something they had no faith in, and you could feel it.

-The departure from normally interesting undercards
-Them getting Floyd more in the spotlight to give more interviews to major media. Which backfired immensely due to some issues with NFL players.
-Inside bickering and strife between Goldenboy and Showtime.
-poor ticket sales at MGM reflected the public interest and sent them into a panic mode.

The entire card just had this strange empty feel about it. People are just sick and tired of PPV's that do not deserve to be PPV.

Don't be surprised when Pac vs Algieri gets under 700, maybe under 600,000. The public is PPV'd out

So Glaser is basically saying the fight did approx. 800K buys. Which sounds about right to me, give or take 50k more. Wasn't heavily hyped or promoted and aside from Floyd's salary, not a lot of money was spent on it (or on the other fighters too). I don't see Showtime taking a loss on this (or on any of the other fights in spite of what people are wishing), but it does make you wonder what kind of changes are going to be made next year because there are a lot of hands in that cookie jar.

Yeah the pac/algieri fight will do poor also. The public(casuals) are either getting disgusted, or are getting more picky. A lot of boxing breakups are coming in the next year. I have a feeling they are all infighting on the GBP/Showtime/Haymon side of the fence. You can feel it brewing.

I personally hope they all lose money on PPV's constantly for the next while. PPV's used to be special events. Now they are everywhere. They are draining the last bit of blood from the sport.

Yeah it really sucks. The past few years have been abominable. I'm afraid it's only going to get worse.
