That's what it felt like anyway, no one thought it did better than the first fight, even Floyd fans.

The entire Floyd/Maidana2 promotion seemed botched from the start. It felt like they were trying to sell something they had no faith in, and you could feel it.
-The departure from normally interesting undercards
-Them getting Floyd more in the spotlight to give more interviews to major media. Which backfired immensely due to some issues with NFL players.
-Inside bickering and strife between Goldenboy and Showtime.
-poor ticket sales at MGM reflected the public interest and sent them into a panic mode.
The entire card just had this strange empty feel about it. People are just sick and tired of PPV's that do not deserve to be PPV.
Don't be surprised when Pac vs Algieri gets under 700, maybe under 600,000. The public is PPV'd outLast edited by deanrw; 09-23-2014, 10:02 AM.

I don't see Showtime taking a loss on this (or on any of the other fights in spite of what people are wishing), but it does make you wonder what kind of changes are going to be made next year because there are a lot of hands in that cookie jar.
Yeah the pac/algieri fight will do poor also. The public(casuals) are either getting disgusted, or are getting more picky. A lot of boxing breakups are coming in the next year. I have a feeling they are all infighting on the GBP/Showtime/Haymon side of the fence. You can feel it brewing.
