There is a video of Manny talking about the phone call and him declining the fight and why. Its Manny talking so its his words. Plain and simple
Contrived or not, it was a much more open ended answer than something like "Pac still has Marquez problems" or something along those lines.

Seemed like Jim gray was trying to be the first person to really put Floyd on the spot when it comes to manny.. No doubt showtime was involved in the questioning as they seem to be trying their hardest to make this fight become a reality...

I think people don't get what he means when he says that. Somehow (and not surprisingly) people have translated that to mean: I don't want to fight.

I'm one of those people who don't get what he means when he says stuff like that and people are justified in thinking it means he doesn't want the fight.

Maidana has Amir Khan problems and Floyd made no mention of that when it came to fighting Maidana. Granted, people can argue that Maidana really did "win" that fight but Khan ended up getting the decision. But, Floyd also said Pacquiao has Timothy Bradley problems and we all know the story behind that too.

            Actually Jim Rome called
Floyd on it and Floyd called out Manny, and thats when Arum came up with building a stadium for the fight and Manny/Arum declined Mayweather to fight Clottey in Cowboy STADIUM. Yep arum said they needed to build a stadium and then fought in a STADIUM that seats over 100k. Says something dont you think. Cowboy stadium was available but he chose to fight Clottey instead of a Floyd fight, in Cowboy stadium.

It's just him being a d*ck. I think at this point people will just run with anything.

Arum has to step aside and just let Mayweather promote the fight, its that simple. Why people still trying to rationalize what needs to happen is pretty slow in the head at this point.

Yeah it's not surprising that people would interpret it that way. And actually, I agreed with Floyd on that point about the "Marquez problems" - I'm a JMM fan, but I've been waiting for Manny to outright beat Marquez for years so that this Floyd-Pac fight could be put into proper context. I wanted to see Pac figure out a smarter fighter before facing Floyd. That's just me being a greedy fan though because I couldn't possibly hold all fighters to that standard..but for a fight this epic, I would have like to see Pac reslve that JMM issue convincingly. I don't even care now I'm just glad the fight seems to be picking up steam again.

Even Arum's ridiculous new area/stadium talk is coming to fruition

if that is true, it would make the floyd apologists really, really nervous. i see some of them are already trying to downplay that possible scenario.

what if floyd goes against sho's wishes to make the fight? that would be indefensible and would left the flowmos no room to breath when it comes to defending their god

Actually, Arum and Schaeffer were scheduled to meet Jerry Jones together to talk the big fight. For whatever reasons, Scheffer withdrew at the last minute. No explanation was given.

As for the stadium.. That 100k seat stadium was in Dallas. Floyd seems pretty adamant to fight in Nevada and only at the MGM Grand. As for a stadium being built? Sure. It's Las Vegas. They built the Pyramid, Eiffel Tower and the world's largest ferris wheel in a couple months. Setting up bleachers and port a potties for the biggest fight in history would be a piece of cake in comparison.
