That's the main reason why I believe Mexico churns out so many gritty fighters. Turning pro at 15 is insane. You have these kids fighting men in their 20's and 30's, at their physical prime punching it out with some snot nosed kid with a family to feed. Salido was a late bloomer, he had a horrid start but learned as he pushed on with his career. He might not be the most technically gifted fighter of our era, but he sure as hell is one of the grittiest and strongest willed ones.
Yeah, I couldn't imagine being 15 and turning pro and fighting legit men...just unbelievable that it's even allowed.. I'm surprised we never hear about a 15,16,17 year old getting seriously hurt
