Salido is the definition of a blood and guts warrior. Never gives up even after being put on his ass numerous times in a fight and always finds a way to get back in the mix. Tough, gritty and powerful. Excellent fighter and entertaining to watch.

I agree on every single point made, except for "he isn't top level". the guy had been one of the top featherweights in the world for some time before he couldn't make weight anymore, not to mention he is a THREE TIME world champion.

Personally, he is top five of my favorite currently active fighters: switch hitter, amazing body attack, and one of the best right hands in the bussiness? YES PLEASE.

That round still gives me goosebumps when I watch it. The back and forth action was amazing. I love how JuanMa was bombarding Salido against the ropes and out of nowhere Salido shoots back and puts JuanMa in a tough position. Glad JuanMa retired, he gave us 2 classics.

These guys are modern day gladiators man. They put their lives on the line for their families and their beloved fans. They deserve the utmost respect for that.


I'm glad JuanMa finally hung up the gloves too. He'll always be remembered as a fighter that always put it all on the line, same way Salido will when he hangs them up.

It may sound strange but salido is one of my favourite boxers. He trains hard, fights anyone and still gives them trouble. Even when he is behind on the cards he still ploughs through because he never gives up

Is not strange at all, not many people have the heart he does. Win or lose I love watching him fight too.
