Even before the fight I felt Mayweather was clearly the greater fighter, around 2010-11 I expressed othwise but the fight reasured the obvious.

      1. Kudos to the historians/journalist/writers that voted in this poll. They were spot on about Floyd and Manny with the rankings. Floyd is far superior.

      2. Where is Floyd on this list now?-I would argue given how he dominated the guy who was considered #2 p4p, that #8 or #9 is right. Some would go higher and if they make a good case, I may agree.

      3. Posters need to understand the importance of boxing skill. Manny has power but Floyd showed how advanced his skillset is.

      4. Manny's spot on the list? I don't want to drop him too much, if at all, just because he lost to a fighter who is far superior. I do think his lack of trying to win at all should factor in to his ranking. An ATG wouldn't go out like that.
      Great post!!!! 100% spot on!

Prime De la Hoya, Prime Shane Mosley, and Prime Pacquiao all beat a Prime Floyd Mayweather.

Floyd fans will never admit it but deep down inside they know it's true.

Chavez is too high to begin with. You move him down to 18-20 where he belongs then Floyd will be in the Whitaker/Charles/Archie Moore range which is a great honor.

Lucky for Floyd fans then that all 3 of these prime fighters turned down fights with Floyd when they were prime and Floyd tried to make fights with them.

I guess these guys also didn't know this was true. They must be Floyd fans.

Agreed. I think that would be a very fair ranking for Floyd.

don't forget prime miguel cotto, prime canelo, prime zab judah, prime ricky hatton, and prime juan manuel marquez. sharmba mitchell wasnt prime either. if they fought at 140 when sharmba mitchell was prime, mitchell would have outslicked him. watch mayrunner duck prime danny garcia.
