I'm not invalidating the list based solely on one fight.

There is little reason that I know of to downgrade Harada's two wins over Jofre other than thinking maybe Jofre deserved the decision in one or both fights, they were both very close affairs.

Harada is a 'fringe name'? What is that even supposed to mean? If Willie Pep hadn't dropped the ball as ref then Harada would have been the first three weight world champion since Henry Armstrong. Does 'fringe name' mean 'Japanese name'?

Meaning he's a fringe name on the list. I'm not questioning his greatness. What I am saying is there are greater fighters that deserve to go before him.

Perhaps but I wanted to give an example from the lower weights who wasn't from North or South America. I could have said Pacquiao but that would be n obvious example and he did get votes unlike Harada. Looking at some of the fighters who received votes and yet nobody gave him one is certainly revealing. 49 fighters got votes, only one from Asia and 2 from Europe. A lot of heavyweights and light-heavies.

Not having Pacquiao in the Top 20 but having Floyd is Criminal. I'll pass with Floyd being higher, but honestly wtf...

I think it has something to do with this...

But the Hagler, Hearns and Benitez losses, combined with the fact that he lost to SRL when he used more footwork and the fact that none of his lightweight competition never really stepped up the plate to accomplish anything spectacular puts him lower than SRL for me anyway.
I can't say anything against SRL.

I think Duran's incredible ability to return to the top from huge setbacks puts him up there close to Ali, who did much the same. The fact that he jumped from LW to WW to be the only guy to defeat an absolutely prime SRL is not diminished for me by the first rematch....any more than Ali's losses diminished his legacy for me.
