I hated this move by Quillin. If everyone is being honest that offer is hard to turn down. 500k to sit out a fight? Meaning no training camp fees promotional fees?

I just don't know how much money haymon can be throwing to keep doing moves like this.

His golden goose is about to retire and hasn't been looking that great.

This does make me turn more of my anger towards Haymon, but Quillin still looks bad for going along.

How many pro fighters you think takes the fight instead of the 500k and the promise for 1.5 mil next fight?

Why is everyone accepting this payoff and next fight guarantee rumor as FACT? How reliable is this source?

I'm just assuming it's fact, mostly because I'm trying to find ANY good reason why Quillin would willingly drop his belt and give up the 1.4M purse. Surely he didn't do it simply because "Haymon told me to"? There has to be more to it than that.

I would agree. Quillin can't be that ******. I just don't accept this particular source as credible.

If he had a brain in his head, Quillin would know 1.5 million in his next fight is absurd and highly unlikely. Then again, Quillin likely doesn't have a brain. He probably had it carved out because Haymon promised him 2 billion dollars 30 years from now.

If Haymon gets Quillin 1.5 in his next fight, someone at Showtime needs to get fired.

I think most take the cash and the promise.

Honestly, when I read it, all I thought was if he isn't fighting Floyd, manny, cotto, chavez, canelo or wlad-what opponent would he be able to get that much?

Just the most mind boggling scenario Ive ever seen.
