I agree these people should be investigated.
About time some people in the media do some investigative reporting about these questionable numbers. It's not fair to just throw numbers without any proof.

Just remember, Espinoza came out a few months ago saying he won't be releasing any number.

The FBI should start with Iole.

Bob did say yesterday Floyd's sales were down. SO he knew before Showtime. 925k is down from his peak. SO maybe the number is correct.....

The real question-how come it usually takes hbo and sho a week or 2 for numbers?

LOL. I knew the buys would be decent. Floyd has too many haters wishing for his demise. Pac is falling even further behind Floyd. His Algieri fight will be far below Floyds number. A good split for a Floyd - Pac fight would be 70/30 at this point and that's being generous.

Alert to all followers: #Floyd #Mayhem 925,000 PPV buys being written by some excellent writers is false, unwittingly by them! #boxing

I will have early next week a PPV number that is real, accurate, and to be "relied upon" Not a fraudulent number! #Mayhem #boxing #Floyd

The writers that reported 925,000 PPV buys for #Mayhem are great writers, l respect them alot, but that doesn't make them always right.

I'm sure everyone will assume it's only because I'm a Floyd hater, but I'm more inclined to believe Glaser. He hasn't let us Boxing fans down lately and he's broken a lot of blockbuster news before anyone else, including the big names in Boxing journalism. Plus the way Show and Floyd have acted since fight night makes it seem all is not well in paradise.
Glaser is probably right. Some reporters risk being incorrect just to say they reported it first.

925 is higher than his last two

I got be honest- I am completely surprised by this number and can't see how this fight sold this much. The only plausible explanation is casual fans really thought Floyd was going to fight the same way and maybe lose.

But it has been rewarding seeing the self proclaimed "real boxing fans" express their anger and frustration that Floyd may have exceeded expectations again.

there needs to be some kind of transparent process carried out by a third party.

promotors and networks have plenty of motivation to lie. i don't trust them.
This might be too ahead of its time but ******* offers that solution. Shoot u would be able to see buys as they are happening and numbers reveled before the fight ends. Be perfect for this sport and this ppv situation. Decentralized no third party needed because even a 3rd party can be swayed.

Still horrible numbers for what he's paid.

                    • Doubt the figure is true. You can tell, when a fight is going to be a success, by the activity in the build up and aftermath of the fight; Floyd v Maidana has been relatively silent.
