He is tailor made for Broner. Matthyse is slow and flat footed like Maidana but unlike Maidana he doesnt put non stop pressure and doesnt rough his oppenents up.

He keeps a certain distance between him and his opponent and starts very slow. Broner will easily pick Matthyse apart

Lucas has concussive 1 punch KO power which Maidana doesn't have. Maidana couldn't KO Khan when he had him doing the booty dew. Maidana tagged Broner at will as have many fighters. Plus Lucas is quicker than you'd think. Lucas WILL connect on Broner. When that happens, it's night night baby.

Broner has skills, but also has a poor defence disguised as a good one. He keeps that tight guard/shoulder roll style but he's no Bernard or Floyd. I sometimes think he'd be better off going all- out attack as he can ****, but that style is doing him no favours. It's like he's allowing his style to be defined by a defence he thinks he has but doesn't. He's actually far better going forward. He needs to stop pretending to be Floyd for a minute and realise he's his own fighter. He'd probably be much better then.

Broner likes to start slow, and Matthysse usually doesn't like to get fired up until the end of round 2 or round 3, if Lucas can come out from the bell ready to TKO he could catch Broner cold.

I don't know, it's a tough one really, Usually I'd pick the boxer over the brawler, but Broner isn't enough of a complete boxer for me to put faith in, fights in spurts, lets his hands go only in the later rounds, has poor defence and movement (although showed some occasionally in the last fight). . . Have a feeling Broner will be on his bike. . . he'll do his best to win, he appears to have alot of heart, and we know having a puncher's chance is the worst kind of chance, but for Matthysse that puncher's chance has gotten him the majority of his wins. If Lucas can work on his footwork, and cutting the ring off (GGG style) the fight would be pretty much in the bag for him IMHO.
