Having read Jim's comments, I don't see what people are criticising him for. He says Mayweather acting as an apologist for Rice was reprehensible. He's not wrong.

His wider points about Floyd are generally correct also, and are shared by the overwhelming majority of people who know who Floyd is.

If Mayweather was losing networks money he wouldn't be clearing 32 million dollars per fight... It doesn't work like that.. Especially for companies like CBS that have new NFL deal, If Floyd was a weak link they'd can him, simple. They're doing just the opposite..

HBO still upset they lost Floyd so now all they do is trash him. They went extra hard on him on that show, I saw it last night. It was disgusting how jealous they are of Showtime. The dumb ass network talked more about Showtime fighters/fights than they did HBO stuff. Dying network.

Yeah they must be ignorant, getting 2-3 dozen emmys to Showtimes what, less than 10? Ratings dwarf Showtime, even in boxing. Revenue WAY dwarfs Showtime. And Showtime won't even release their numbers. Yeah, HBO dying, sure bub. HA!

Thing is, Lampley is 100% right. Yes, years ago he had one domestic, admitted it, and never had one again. Floydie is a scum bag low-classed thug just like Roger... multiple domestic violence charges/incidents, too chicken to fight Pac, way boring ultra safety-first fighting style... and the list goes on. And if you actually think he's drawing in more potential boxing fans than he is driving away... you are delusional. I agree, Floydie retired will definitely help the sport.
