WhT can be done about the judges?

I mean seriously, this weekend was a farce..a 119-109 score for Bey and even the 115-112 card for Floyd I thought was crazy..and that guy scored the 4th round for Floyd lol..that's the only round Maidana "clearly" won in the fight IMO. The 12th because Floyd ran the whole time and possibly the 9th if I recall correctly. How could anyone score the 4th for Floyd there? Every weekend we get bogus cards from so called "experts". It's long overdue that boxing forms a sport wide commission to oversee judges and refs...so ridiculous...hard to take the sport serious when dubious stuff happens on a weekly basis....

we need to implement robots. i know google is doing a lot with AI, and i think when it gets to a point where the AI robots are good enough they can replace the judges. the robots will be fair and programmed not to be corrupt. i'm not joking either. i think 5 years from now we can have these robots analyze and score fights better than the human judges and without corruption.

i know google and boston dynamics is doing great AI and robotics research and development. they can definitely do something for boxing too.

Sport wide commission means more corruption. Nothing can be done about it, just have to KO your opponent to insure victory.

Unless you can come up with a system that totally removes the human element from judging fights then you can't fix judging fights. All sports with judging inherently have this issue but things like figure skating, gymnastics or diving is that you are comparing something you know ahead of time with what is suppose to be perfect.

Boxing there is nothing to really compare to and really what is worth more 2 or 3 light punches or 1 really hard punch. I have no idea how you can even begin to regulate that problem as there is no right answer and it could be different in fight to fight.

I think they could change they system a bit so a blow out round (with no knockdown) and a close round are not scored the exact same. Half points would be what I would suggest but that still does not get at the issue you want in that there will be real agreement with scoring.

Also you could have like 5 judges instead of 3 and take out the high and low for each guy then average them and have like a pool of 10 judges you can randomly pick to judge the fights on fight night. I think you will still run into issues with variation of scores though for seeing the exact same fight.

This has been the trend for a while now. It's affecting every style of fighter and every level of fight and it needs to be fixed within in the year.

Hire and train new officials in Vegas and beginning Jan 1, 2016 they judge fights. Make sure training includes an eye test.

You still can expect the different angles to cause different scores, but they need not be so drastically different.

If anything I thought the scores for Mayweather-Maidana were too close. Especially the 115-112 card that I thought was generous for Maidana.

The Vasquez scoring was a totally different situation and a false equivalent.

bribing the judges shouldn't be allowed anymore. i mean it was a good idea but it just hasn't panned out

I don't think anything will be done about it other than suspending the judges which they seem to be doing more now. I think the one thing they can do more is reverse the decisions.
