Maidana has to be given credit, again he bends his knees and every time Mayweather started leading Maidana would get low, trying to bait Mayweather into a counter.
I noticed this too, similar to RJJ and Ali at the tail end of their careers, it's not as severe as it was with them though.

Accuracy doesn't normally decline with age, what declines is the ability to pull the trigger. Floyd threw fewer punches in the rematch than against anybody else on that list, even though he was landing easily when he decided to throw.

You can dig up as many stats as you want, my eyes (and the eyes of many fans who watched the fight) tell me he's lost a step, and I've been watching him for a long time. If he truly looked like the usual Floyd, then you wouldn't need to make a thread like this.

His timing and reactions have slowed he even said himself he got caught with shots he shouldn't have, he even rated himself a C- performance. Was a much easier fight for him this time imo but he himself knows he's not as good as he once was but it's still enough to beat most of the guys in the division.

He definitely looks slower, not as agile. People are heavily over exaggerating his decline though. This looks like the same Mayweather that beat Canelo with ease.

Maidana is a very awkward fighter, he throws hard looping punches from weird angles, he's tough as nails, and he's as relentless as they come. This comes down to styles making fights, Maidana just so happened to have a style that bothered Floyd, a style that probably nobody else has in boxing.

Of course he's lost a step, he's been on the decline since he fought ODH in my opinion. That just speaks to his ability to win fights. I'm ready for him to retire though.
