Would he? I think that's at best debatable and probably quite wrong.

Maidana had two good performances against high profile opponents. When he goes back into the mix at 147 we'll have a better idea of where he stands.

How old are you? No version of Floyd goes 12 with SRL who I think is the greatest fighter of all-time. All you have to do is watch SRL/Duran 1. That fight is what greatness is made of and not for the faint of heart. Two of the top five all-time squared off like two animals in the wild. Neither one would break in the end. Now, do you think Floyd is that tough? Do you think Floyd could go 12 with a violent fighter like Duran? Because I don't. Duran is the most violent fighter I have ever seen in the ring. He was a good defensive fighter, had tons of stamina, and an iron chin. He was vicious and the greatest lightweight of them all. Floyd is overrated and would get Ko'ed by both. He's NEVER gotten in the ring with anyone like either Ray or Duran. Beating guys like The Ghost, Ortiz, a drained Canelo, Roidquez, MM, etc. doesn't make you TBE. It makes you a coward. What did any of them do to deserve a fight with Floyd??? He refused to fight Sergio at 154lbs in a super fight that would've told us more about his skill level. He refuses to fight the best fighter of his era, Manny Pacquiao. He chose MM over Khan when Khan clearly won the poll. Smh. I think Khan is still one fight away from deserving that shot but he would bust Floyd up until he gets Ko'ed. Now why do you think that is? only reason the older generation of fighters are favored is because they proved their worth against the best. if you were a REAL fan of leonard you'd know this.

he didn't beat alexander, he avoided/ducked thurman, i doubt he beats bradley also, and gets a one-sided beatdown against pac. maidana isn't that great of a fighter. sure he can beat up a soto karass or a josesito lopez, but he won't be able to compete against real top fighters in the division.

MM is a much improved fighter since joing Garcia's stable BUT he is still a B Level fighter. He isn't smart enough to defeat guys like Floyd or Manny. He doesn't have the necessary skillset. And for those who think so highly of Floyd's ability, Manny would of beaten MM so BAD the first time, there wouldn't have been a rematch! Manny is a better athelete then Floyd and punches much harder even though Floyd is naturally bigger. Manny has great legs, hand speed, foot speed, angles, stamina, and he wouldn't be there to be hit with those wild, slow, ****** shots that Floyd got caught with for two fights.

floyd has never fought a good speedster, you think he wouldn't get countered? he's gotten away with all those potshots because of his speed and slow opponents, maidana has deceptive speed but he's still not that fast and esspecially not a good counter-puncher, and he still countered floyd

i think mayweather is highly fortunate to not having faced a great counter-puncher, a great mover, or someone with great speed who isn't zab judah/sht, hell just a great fighter that's not well passed it, very fortunate

He destroyed a prime canelo who destroyed trout, angulo and Lara.
He destroyed a prime undefeated* cotto who destroyed a prime margarito.
He destroyed a prime JMM, who destroyed a prime PAC.
He destroyed a prime hatton who destroyed a prime tyszu.
He destroyed a prime de la hoya who destroyed a prime Chavez, a prime Whitaker and a prime camacho who destroyed a prime Duran and Leonard, who between them destroyed prime Buchanan, de Jesus, cuevas, Moore, Barkley, Benitez, hearns, hagler and each other. Floyd better than every name on this list obviously.
