Floyd looked masterful. He really is his own harshest critic.

Larry Bonds: Ray, did not look good against Larry Bonds. Bonds, was moving and Ray's ability to cut off the ring was ok. But what if Bonds had Floyds counter shots and all around ability Close fight

Ayub Kalule: He nailed Ray consistently round after round. Ray caught up with him in the ninth, but Kalule is 5 notches below Floyd

Leonard, looks aweome against Davey Boy Green fighters who brawl with slow feet. Stay in front of him. If Mayweather boxes sticks that left jab to Rays body, comes back with the straight right. Its open all night

The Benitez fight....If Benitez had Floyds offense he wins
But he didnt win. He got out boxed and stopped. Leonard nearly always found a way to win.
We could all say "if fighter A had more power or speed or movement or defence, he would beat fighter B", but it doesnt work that way.

Benitez was known for having a great defence and amazing reflexes. Yet Ray knocked him down with a jab, and eventually stopped him.

Bonds was a rangy southpaw with 4 more inches on his arm than Floyd. Ray took the fight lightly and fought a ****y fight. Coming in with both hands down.
Bonds also danced and jabbed in a way Floyd doesnt. Floyd is more stationary. Yet he gets caught with the jab as we saw in the maidana fight and with Oscar.
If Ray used his speed he could hit Floyd consistently imo.

If Cotto and Maidana jab Floyd...what would Ray have done?

Hearns was a huge welterweight but couldnt keep Ray off him all night. It wasnt just stamina, Ray hurt him early and made Hearns defensive.

Kalule was another southpaw. Ray took many shots but he also wanted the KO, and got it. Kalule

The closest thing Ray fought to Floyd Jnr was Floyd Snr, and he gave him a beating.

I dont think Ray fights Floyd the way he fought either Kalule or Bonds. We saw how Ray was able to fight brilliantly either as the aggressor or as a counter puncher, dancing and boxing.
I think at welterweight he gives floyd too much.
But a p4p fight, with floyd at his best. It would be very interesting.

While agree that the old greats can be overrated at times you lost me when you said floyd was physically stronger than leonard. Leonard threw a lot more than floyd and was way more active. He fought a lot more. He definitely had better stamina than floyd. And as for floyd being stronger ray leonard still seemed pretty strong as he moved up in weight over the years. Hearns was able to outbox a lot of people because he used his height and reach. Hearns himself was physically strong as was Duran and hagler.

When you say floyd can just throw right hands and hold you neglect that out of the four king's only duran was shorter than floyd. The others could just lean down on him when he clinches. Leonard showed that he can fight on the inside against Duran, who was one of the best when it came to inside fighting.

Floyd's stamina is slightly overrated in that he is very economical with his shots. He has great accuracy and timing so he doesn't need to throw as much. Even still he's looked a lot more tired in his recent fights.

Oh...btw, what you are trying to say is "hear me out" not "here me out"...

None of those fighters fight even REMOTELY like Floyd Mayweather lol. Wth, IMO opinion it's a 50/50 fight. Ray's size is a big factor here as well. The speed, reflexes, agility and quickness of both fighters make this the fastest of chess matches.

Ray could adjust just like Floyd. He could box or he could slug. In his prime he had a great chin and nobody had a better killer instinct. Ray is naturally bigger and much stronger than Floyd. A big difference is while Floyd is happy with a decision Ray wanted to knock you out. Because of this he could get sloppy at time and would get hit more than you'd expect. The only time Ray wanted to win just a decision was the Hagler fight and he fought brilliantly. Both are very smart fighters both keep themselves in top shape, but Ray really had it all, smarts, dedication, power, speed, defense... I think he wins comfortably. Ray has proven it by fighting the best of his era. I can't say the same for Floyd. And I say this being a big Floyd fan.

Floyd looked pathetic? You sure don't give Maidana much respect by saying this.

You do realize this was 36-38 yr old Floyd right? Where was SRL at that age?
