The Kalule fight. If Kalule just had some defense he wins the fight

Again, some fans overrate the older era.

Ray looked awesome against slow plodders. Show a example when he looked great against a guy with speed who could move. The Hearns fight he looked horrible trying to cut off the ring

Prime Floyd would have moved and drillled Ray with lead hooks, upercuts, straight right to a easy UD. Leonard, is not at his best chasing
Mayweather doesn't fight opponents who are fast and effective with their style hence why he has been reluctant to fight Manny and Khan.

Who did Ray beat with Speed outside of Hearns?

Tommy was actually weight drained at 147. Floyd would give Ray something he's never faced. A simple jab to the body and a smart opponent.

Give Benitez Floyds offense and its a different outcome. Leonard has never fought a guy who thinks the game like himself.

For example: Ray keeps that left guard down at times. Floyd would drill him with a straight right..clinch...clinch....hold Rays arms. Strategy!.....Then hit him with another straight right....clinch clinch hold

Ray struggled with slow Ayub Kalule. Got hit by slow Kalule.

Hearns at 154 is the style to beat Floyd. Same with 2002 Vernon Forrest

Leonard throws to many out of control combinations. Watch the Kalule fight. Floyd would have laughed, blocked and countered

A patient tall fighter with a great jab who sets his shots up behind the jab is how you beat Mayweather. Fighters with wild combinations will end of losing a UD

I'm a Floyd fan, but him beating Leonard would not be as simple as you make it. Possible, but Leonard was a beast. It would have to be the absolute best version of Floyd and even then I couldn't say with absolute certainty he would win. Leonard, despite his nice guy demeanor, was a killer in the ring and would probably beat Floyd into a shell. Blazing hand speed, power, combos, foot movement, you name it. The only advantage Floyd has, on paper, is his defense, but that wouldn't be enough to stop Leonard. Now I'm trying to think, which version of Floyd would stand the best chance against him? Gatti? Hatton? Mosley?

I agree Ray had blazing hand speed, but against Floyd that could also be his downfall in the fight. Opening up with combinations could get Ray knocked down 1 or 2 times and Floyd is underrated "tough"

Floyd, is also in much better condition than Benitez. Works out harder. So Ray can't get away with Floyd wearing down. That strategy won't work. Floyd doesn't party like old school fighters

Round 8: He's gonna still hit Ray with the stiff jab to the body, while Ray as he proved in the Benitez fight....Throws the same jab, right, jab, right.."predictable"

There is an interview where SRL says his brother, who convinced him that he could beat Hagler told him that Floyd would've beat him. Either way, SRL admits it would've been competitive.

Its possible. People have a tendency to overrate the old school fighters a bit like none of this era could beat them. It is very possible he could.

Floyd's fast counter right could work on Leonard and it would definitely force Ray to keep his hands up but at the same time, it's obvious Floyd is going to be fighting on the backfoot as Leonard's greater punching would make sure of that. I don't think there's really much of an advantage they have over each other in the speed department but Leonard's advantage in reach, size, and power along WITH his speed makes this hard to say Floyd would win, as he's never truly faced an opponent like that.

Floyd's resume doesnt even come close to SRL's, there is no competition.
