You know the same thing can be and could have been said of a couple of manny's opp. And this is where arum himself said he has no interest in working with goldenboy. And yes then schaffer turned around and said the same thing so obviously they both hated each other.

i already said this a couple of days ago, televisa (mexican tv network) admitted that negotiations are taking place and is almost a done deal, televisa is business partner with golden boy so they have no reason to lie about this, they even said that there is going to be 2 fights one for each promoter ...

I pray to the gods of boxing this is true , but I cant see a rematch because Floyd will school him it wont be competitive , they wont be able to sell it again .

Honestly, I think this is just more of the same that's happened in the past. Give it lip service. If Manny REALLY wanted the fight, he would've at the very least explored free agency. I didn't say become a free agent, but at least explore his options. He didn't bother, knowing that could be the death knell for the fight with Floyd, while also knowing that we would be stuck with fights like Pac /Algieri/Alvarado/JMM5. How can ANYONE defend that? Floyd made a decision to move on fight for the lineal title, then ODH and becomes the face of boxing, and people still scream that he ducked Margarito. Pac doesn't bother even exploring his option, but he SAYS he wants the fight, so that means he does and he gets a pass!

Why manny didn't follow in the footsteps of Floyd and cotto, becoming a free agent, I will never know.. Cotto laid the blueprint in how to become a free agent from top rank, get the Floyd fight, and then still be able to do business with top rank on a fight by fight basis...
