Honestly, I think this is just more of the same that's happened in the past. Give it lip service. If Manny REALLY wanted the fight, he would've at the very least explored free agency. I didn't say become a free agent, but at least explore his options. He didn't bother, knowing that could be the death knell for the fight with Floyd, while also knowing that we would be stuck with fights like Pac /Algieri/Alvarado/JMM5. How can ANYONE defend that? Floyd made a decision to move on fight for the lineal title, then ODH and becomes the face of boxing, and people still scream that he ducked Margarito. Pac doesn't bother even exploring his option, but he SAYS he wants the fight, so that means he does and he gets a pass!

CBS is really who to go to but who is Arum to really talk to them he hasn't been doing business with them and actively has been bad mouthing their product.

Arum talking to HBO then HBO reaching out to CBS/Showtime is probably the wisest route with maybe HBO making up with Haymon a bit to help grease the wheels.

Both have fights lined up, if both win and they are working on it in December or January then maybe there is something to it.
