Khan's fan base wouldn't help Floyd compete?

first off. im so confident because it's never happened before.

secondly everybody would lose out in this scenario except Floyd. he gets a 32 million dollar guarantee no matter how many ppv's he sells. so canelo vs cotto on the same night wouldn't change anything for Floyd.

but cotto and canelo will get 5 too 10 million dollars guaranteed. so they need their ppv too do as many buys as possible so that they can make more money on the back end. so it would be ****** too go against another ppv, when they can have a date too themselves. HBO knows this, arum knows this, Oscar knows this. hell anybody who follows boxing knows this.

Oscar and arum want the cinco de mayo date, but they will not go head too head with Floyd too get that date

you just nail it, that guarantee its what will end up forcing showtime not to compete vs HBO... showtime just cant keep loosing money... if arum and oscar wanted this fight on a different date then we will be getting it sooner, instead we have canelo and cotto looking for tuneups to stay in shape for 5 de mayo...
just need to put all those pieces together...

Besides a Pac/Floyd fight what would be the bigger fight than a Canelo/Cotto. These two guys look like they are going into a collision course while the other is looking for an opponent to sell tickets.

you forget one important thing-MGM can charge much more for tickets and rooms fora Floyd fight than a cotto/canelo fight. the number of seats is fixed so if the MGM had to choose, why wouldn't they choose the Floyd fight?

How does MGM make up for the lost revenue from ticket sales and hotels?

normally floyd fights are more expensive than any other fight, but canelo-cotto is not any other fight and the MGM can make just as much money from that fight, fans will pay just as much for floyd-chino or canelo-cotto...
is a guaranteed sold out regardless of the prices... but again if oscar already booked that date i dont see the MGM making any decisions... and if they do they will have to consider floyd has 2 fight less, so forget the fighter they will have to choose between GBP or TMT and i suspect is GBP any day...

Cotto - Canelo. I don't even have to waste a fraction of a second thinking about it.

If you had to actually think about which fight you would like to see, or went straight to the Floyd VS Amir option then...

You don't know **** about boxing son!
