Why do these guys keep acting as though people are afraid to fight Matthyse? Pretty much all of the top guys at jww have fought him. He may punch harder than Maidana but Maidana is a tougher style matchup for Broner.

In boxing if you don't try learning something new and just stay the same you become predictable.
Broner does not have the movement or the strength, and even if he was able to close the eye the same way, probably couldn't capitalize the same. Broner doesn't adjust either.
Maidana did the same thing for 12 rounds and absolutely embarrassed Broner. Adjusting isn't necessary at all to beat him.

I'm not a Broner fan at all. I'm not a fan of his in-ring antics, the whole "brush-my-hair" is lame and annoying, his lack of dedication to the sport (I could be wrong here, but it seems he rather make rap songs, go on tour and post ****** videos on the internet rather than train), and some of his comments are annoying. With that being said, if you watch his fights closely (whether to watch him lose or to see him fight), this kid has flashes of brilliance in his game. He is a highly skilled fighter who COMPLETELY feels at home and comfortable inside the ring and under those bright lights. He has amazing speed, great combinations, decent pop ,and his defense isn't bad either. Is he the second coming; I doubt it, but the kid can fight and will probably make a **** load of money while participating in some entertaining fights win or lose.
Now on to the Mathysse fight, does he win? IDK, but let’s be honest here Mathysse is a very one-dimensional fighter, and as much as I enjoy his crowd pleasing style and punching-power, it’s not the greatest. He has no defense to speak of, he throws loopy hay-makers and sometimes looks like an amateur. Maidana threw everything including the kitchen sink (and a few elbows that nobody saw) -and although Broner was thoroughly dominated- Maidana wasn't able to get him outta' there. Is Mathysse going to come with that same balls-out aggression and sustain it for 12 rounds, I doubt it. So to say Mathysse destroys and annihilates Broner is a little ridiculous, especially if you can't back it up. I mean I remember rooting for Lucas to completely destroy Zab Judah, and well aside from the knockdowns late in the fight JUDAH definitely put on a boxing clinic and DEFINITELY deserved the nod.
Anyway I think its a great match-up and hope it gets made.
