Comments Thread For: Molina Doubts Broner Steps in There With Matthysse

Junior welterweight contender John Molina seriously doubts that Adrien Broner has any intention of stepping in the ring with Lucas Matthysse.

Broner (29-1, 22KOs), a former three division champion, returned to action last week in Cincinnati against Emmanuel Taylor. Broner won a twelve round unanimous decision over Taylor and afterwards he called for a fight with Matthysse (36-3, 34KOs), who appeared in the Showtime televised co-feature with a second round knockout of Roberto Ortiz.

This will be Broner's angle. He'll continue to call out guys he won't fight but instead fight cab drivers, and he'll keep pretending that the "big fight" is next...

Broner is the biggest hype job I've seen in a long time...

Tell me you are not saying that Taylor was a cab driver?

Molina had his chance to make it to a Broner fight. He lost to Demarco. Not sure why he expects to get two contenders in a row after coming off a loss. Would 've a good fight for Broner tho. But I'll be happy if he does something first.

Obviously he would big up Matthysse because he fought him.

P@ct@rd logic here. Claim somebody is ducking you, then when they say they'll fight you, say they're just talking **** and really scared to fight you.

This dude has some nerve talking about holes in some bodies fight game. This dude was down 9 rounds to none against Mickey Bey before landing a haymaker. So I lol at this dude talking like he's some top fighter out there.

I can't believe Molina/Soto isn't on the PPV. It's a better fight than any of the other undercard fights.

Me personally I don't think Matthsse beats Broner, I see it the other way around. To beat a guy like Broner you have to be smart so you can adjust, if you can't do that you lose the fight.Matthsse had a hard time with Danny Garcia because he kept coming forward, no movement and didn't try to do something different to get inside, That's why he got out boxed. In boxing if you don't try learning something new and just stay the same you become predictable. Matthsse is not hardcore or as smart as chino his fellow country man, Chino knows how to pressure.
